"Father! I heard that Chen Hyuga is here."
The Third Raikage frowned.
"Father, don't worry," A continued confidently. "The stories about Chen Hyuga are surely exaggerations. A ten-year-old boy... No matter how strong he might be, I will personally defeat him on the battlefield."
The Raikage looked at him sternly. "Don't be careless, A! Konoha isn't stupid. If they've sent that kid, it's because he has something special. Don't underestimate your opponent."
A lowered his gaze for a moment, but his confidence did not fade.
"Tomorrow we will fight Konoha," said the Raikage as he clenched his fist. "First, I will test that boy's strength with my own hands. We'll see if all those stories are true."
He was known as the Strongest Shield and had never feared anyone. Although his words showed caution, deep down he couldn't help but underestimate Chen. The idea that a ten-year-old could be a real challenge was hard for him to accept.
If Chen Hyuga were seventeen or eighteen years old, perhaps no one would dare to doubt his strength. But he was just a boy, freshly graduated from the academy, and because of that, it was difficult for the Raikage to take him seriously.
…
Early the next morning, the Raikage led his army in a direct attack on Konoha's camp.
Kumogakure's troops advanced with determination, breaking the calm of dawn.
The Konoha camp reacted quickly. Ninjas rushed to their positions, forming improvised defenses as the rumble of war drums grew louder.
In the midst of the chaos, Chen remained calm. "So impatient, huh?" he murmured, holding Konan's small hand while yawning without concern.
In the distance, the Raikage could be seen advancing at the front of his troops, his imposing figure covered by a shroud of lightning.
"Susanoo!"
Suddenly, chakra began to flow from Chen's body, enveloping him.
A blue chakra structure began to form around him. First, it was a skeleton rising from the ground, then muscles, and finally the complete armor of a giant samurai.
The massive blue Susanoo fully materialized, standing imposingly over 100 meters tall, dominating the battlefield.
The enormous figure enveloped Chen and Konan, who were at its front.
The shinobi on both sides paused for a moment, their gazes lifted toward the gigantic figure, unable to hide their astonishment.
Kneeling, Chen gently patted Konan's head.
"Konan, watch me fight here. No one will harm you while you're here. Stay calm; I'll take care of the bad guys."
Inside the Susanoo, Konan was protected from any threat.
The little girl looked at Chen and nodded obediently. "Hmm! Brother, go ahead. I'll be watching you," she said firmly, determined to grow stronger. She knew she needed to train more in the future to not be a burden to her brother.
An aura of power emanated from the Susanoo, enveloping the battlefield in an atmosphere of pure terror.
"Can he really use the Susanoo?" murmured Yi, his face pale with disbelief.
The idea of an outsider using a technique exclusive to the Uchiha Clan was a devastating blow to him. He felt as if his world was slowly crumbling before that vision.
But the Raikage wasn't willing to stop. With his eyes fixed on the Susanoo, he roared, "Don't be intimidated! I'll bring him down!"
"Raikage-sama, be careful!" shouted Dodai from behind.
"It's nothing!" replied the Raikage with a confident smile. "Lightning Element Chakra Mode! Four-Finger Nukite!" He activated his Lightning Release Chakra Mode, and energy began to envelop him, forming an electric armor.
The ground shook under his feet as he concentrated chakra into four of his fingers.
Whoosh!
His speed was so intense that it seemed to cut through the air as he rushed toward the Susanoo.
Chen watched him with a cold gaze. "Do you want to die so quickly?"
In the blink of an eye, he disappeared from the crystal at the head of the Susanoo and reappeared right in front of the Raikage.
"Light Speed Kick!"
His leg moved so fast that only a flash remained as evidence.
Bam!
The force of the kick was overwhelming.
Whoosh!
The Raikage, who had been approaching like lightning, was sent flying back at a speed faster than lightning.
His body flew through the air, crashing into Kumogakure shinobi charging toward Konoha.
Dozens of ninjas were swept away by the Raikage's force, killed in the process, as his figure fell heavily to the ground.
"Father! Are you alright?!" shouted A as he ran desperately toward his father, his gaze filled with worry and fury.
He quickly knelt, grabbing his father firmly to help him stand.
"I'm... I'm fine..." the Raikage growled in a rough voice.
"Just some broken ribs. Nothing I can't handle," he said, standing up with effort, trying to hide the pain that marked his expression.
With the back of his hand, he wiped away the blood running from the corner of his lips. But his eyes, normally full of determination, now reflected the impact of Chen's attack.
The Raikage's chest was visibly sunken, the result of the devastating light speed kick. However, the Raikage's pride prevented him from showing weakness in front of his men.
The Kumogakure offensive had halted.
The momentum they had built up crumbled in an instant. The Kumogakure shinobi looked at their leader in disbelief, fear beginning to seep into their hearts.
Seeing the man they believed to be invincible, their Raikage, the strongest shield, wounded in such a manner... it was something they couldn't accept.
The army's morale wavered.
"I will avenge you, Father!" roared A, his body trembling.
Clenching his fists, he prepared to launch himself to the front, his gaze burning with hatred.
But before he could move, a heavy hand rested on his shoulder, stopping him. "Don't do it, A," said his father.
"You're no match for him. If you go... you'll die," he added seriously. Concern was written on his face; he knew Chen's power wasn't something his son could face.
Observing his surroundings, his men, the battlefield, the tension in the air—everything had changed in an instant.
"The stories weren't lies," he finally said with resignation. "He's faster than me... and stronger," he admitted, each word heavy, as if it was difficult to say.
Seeing his son look at him, seeking hope, and not being able to give him anything but the truth hurt him more than any wound.
Chen, watching from his position, smiled. "He endures... his resilience is really impressive," he said aloud. "Staying on his feet after taking a light speed kick... not just anyone can do that."
"Raikage-sama!" shouted Dodai suddenly. "Let me stop him. You lead the Cloud shinobi to attack the Konoha ninjas. As long as we defeat Konoha, Chen Hyuga won't matter!" he shouted as he stepped forward, his hands already forming seals.
Without waiting for a response, he launched himself at Chen, determined to sacrifice himself if necessary.
"Does an ant think it can stop a lion?" Chen murmured with a disdainful smile. "You're overestimating yourself."
Slowly raising his hand, he began to recite in a low tone. "Hadō #90..."
"...Kurohitsugi," he whispered, and in that instant, an enormous black cube began to materialize around Dodai, trapping him.
The atmosphere became oppressive, the air felt heavy as the darkness spread. The cube, made of pure shadow, rose like an inevitable tomb, and inside it, the chilling sound of swords being drawn could be heard, followed by the tearing sounds of slashes.
Ssssh!
Shhhink!
The sound of blades cutting flesh filled the air. Slowly, the black cube began to dissipate, fading away like a bad dream.
But the trace of that power was undeniable: only a pile of chopped meat remained where Dodai had been.
"...Dodai?" murmured the Raikage, his gaze fixed on the pile of chopped meat that was left of his subordinate.
His eyes were filled with disbelief, mixed with horror and a fury that began to boil like a volcano about to erupt.
"CHEN HYUGA, I WILL TEAR YOU APART! I want you dead right now!" he roared with a scream full of pure vengeance.
However, Chen remained unmoved, a disdainful smile curving at the corner of his lips.
"Do you really think you can kill me?" he mocked, letting out a scoffing laugh. "Your voice may be deafening, but your strength..." he clicked his tongue, "is pathetic. If you think you can take me down, I'm afraid you're dreaming."
"AHHHHHH! JIGOKUZUKI!" roared the Raikage as he channeled all his power into his strongest attack.
The desire to finish Chen consumed him completely.
Watching the Raikage approach, he said, "Aren't you the strongest shield? Alright then, prove it. Let's see how strong you are."
"Shigan!"
Chen's finger imbued itself with Armament Haki as he advanced toward the Raikage.
Boooom!
The ground trembled, and the earth cracked in all directions when both attacks collided, the pressure of the power resonating throughout the battlefield.
CRACK!
The bone-breaking sound echoed as the Raikage's fingers gave way under the force of Chen's attack.
The Shigan pierced through the Raikage's chest, leaving multiple bloody holes. Blood gushed from the wounds, staining the Raikage's armor a deep red.
At the last second, the Raikage managed to divert the attack just enough to save his heart; otherwise, his life would have ended in that instant.
Slowly retracting his finger, he placed both hands behind his back while observing the Raikage, who struggled to stay on his feet. "Disappointing," said Chen with disdain. "The 'Strongest Shield'? You couldn't even stop one of my fingers."
But as he spoke, he kept his hand hidden behind his back, trembling slightly.
His finger was red and swollen, a reminder of the Raikage's defense. Although he had won, he knew the Raikage's resilience was formidable; his opponent had proven himself worthy of his title.
The Raikage staggered, the pain evident in every fiber of his being. His fingers were shattered, and cold sweat covered his forehead.
Blood continued to flow from the wounds, but he did not emit a single groan of pain.
His gaze was fixed on Chen, full of hatred and, at the same time, respect, recognizing the difference between them.
"I'm afraid those fingers will never be the same," Chen said. "You may try to heal them, but they'll never be as effective as before."
The Raikage gritted his teeth. His finger bones were completely destroyed, and even if he managed to heal them, he knew they would never be the same. The blow he had received wasn't just physical; it had broken something inside him—that unshakable belief in being indestructible.
With his hands still behind his back, Chen looked at him arrogantly. "So this is the strongest attack of the great Raikage..."
"And yet, it was defeated by just one of my fingers." He chuckled, his smile never fading as he watched the man everyone called the 'Strongest Shield' bend before him.
