Chapitre 103: Kumogakure

At this moment, Chen is already a famous figure throughout the ninja world.

After destroying seven thousand ninjas with a single attack, his feat shocked every corner of the shinobi world.

He has been given various titles, such as: God of Destruction, Devil of the Ninja World, New Ninja Asura, Butcher, among others.

Most people call him the Devil, especially in Amegakure, Iwagakure, and Sunagakure, where they uniformly consider Chen Hyuga a demonic figure.

After witnessing Chen's power, those villages now hold a firmer stance in their decisions. Every time they have a nightmare, the undisputed protagonist is Chen.

Chen Hyuga has left an indelible mark on their hearts, a shadow that will haunt them forever.

Of course, there are also those who view such accounts with skepticism, considering the claim of killing seven thousand ninjas with a single attack an exaggeration. Essentially, they say it's an excuse from Iwagakure, Sunagakure, and Amegakure to justify their incompetence.

Can a ten-year-old ninja destroy seven thousand ninjas? Pure lies! Many people simply do not believe it.

They had not seen the actual scene, and even if they tried to understand how it happened, they couldn't imagine how it was possible to kill seven thousand ninjas in a single attack.

Not only was Chen's name spread, but also the names of the Sannin and Konoha's White Fang. These names have also gained recognition in the world.

The title of Konoha's White Fang belongs to Sakumo Hatake and had spread before Chen entered the battlefield.

The name of the Sannin, on the other hand, was the result of Hanzō's spontaneous promotion in these days.

To avoid being too humiliated, Hanzō deliberately promoted how strong Tsunade, Orochimaru, and Jiraiya were.

The scene where he was chased by Tsunade was seen by many people, but to maintain his reputation, he had to praise the three and elevate their names.

He also deliberately promoted that the title of "Sannin" was given by him, allowing him to keep his pride. Although he had been humiliated, he managed to manipulate the situation to save face.

However, despite these manipulations, Hanzō showed no signs of complacency. In fact, he now frowned and was on the verge of collapse.

All because Hanzō had made it clear that they were too arrogant to be controlled, and that he would no longer collaborate with them.

Of course, Ōnoki and the Third Kazekage disagreed with Hanzō's stance. This war had brought them no benefits. On the contrary, they had been miserably defeated and suffered great losses.

Naturally, neither was willing to surrender now.

"HANZŌ, THINK CLEARLY!! If you want to back out, do it, BUT DON'T YOU DARE MENTION THE WORD 'RETREAT'! Konoha is waiting for us to make a mistake, just to devour us alive!"

"DO YOU REALLY THINK THEY WILL JUST STAND BY IF YOU DECIDE TO TAKE A STEP BACK?!"

"IT WAS YOU DAMN FOOLS WHO GOT ME INTO THIS MESS IN THE FIRST PLACE!", roared Hanzō, his eyes sparking with rage as he glared at Ōnoki and the Third Kazekage. "YOU FORCED ME ONTO THIS DAMN SHIP, AND NOW YOU EXPECT ME TO FOLLOW YOUR ORDERS WITHOUT QUESTION!"

"If you decide to abandon us now, Amegakure will be the FIRST village that Konoha ANNIHILATES," said the Third Kazekage, in a cold tone.

Ōnoki let out a sarcastic laugh, his gaze filled with disdain. "Is this what you call a DEMIGOD? You give up so easily? Hanzō, you're a COWARD, and you don't deserve that title for even a second!"

Hanzō gritted his teeth. He knew he was trapped in a situation with no easy way out. He had boarded a ship in the midst of a storm, and now there was no way to disembark without paying a price.

"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT?! Your jinchūrikis were crushed like dogs! One is dead, and the other humiliated! WHAT KIND OF RESISTANCE COULD WE OFFER AGAINST CHEN HYUGA?! THERE'S NO WAY WE COULD FACE HIM AND WIN!", he spat, each word full of bitterness, throwing the truth in their faces without softening it.

This was precisely why Hanzō wanted out. He had already made a decision internally. If Ōnoki and the Third Kazekage couldn't come up with a real solution, he would retreat, even if it meant finding a way to compensate Konoha, as difficult as that might be.

"This..."

Ōnoki and the Third Kazekage were speechless.

Especially Ōnoki, whose face darkened as he let out a long sigh. The Five-Tails Jinchūriki was dead, and the Five-Tails beast had disappeared. Iwagakure was the one that had lost the most.

Losing the tailed beast meant losing one of Iwagakure's most powerful weapons. When he received the news, he felt rage consuming him from within, to the point of almost losing his senses. It was a deep wound, and the pressure of defeat weighed on him like a mountain.

"Kumogakure has sent me news! They have agreed to send troops to Konoha, but they want HALF of the benefits!", said Ōnoki, his voice deep and tense, his furrowed brow reflecting the pressure of the moment.

"WHAT!? Those damn kumogakure are too greedy!", exclaimed the Third Kazekage, jumping out of his seat, his eyes ablaze with fury. "HALF OF EVERYTHING!? They're crazy!"

"And what options do we have now?", replied Ōnoki with a sigh of resignation. When he first received the message, he had smashed some cups. He had screamed in pure frustration, but he knew his fury wouldn't change the situation.

"....Are we just going to give everything away to Kumogakure?", murmured the Third Kazekage, still clearly disgusted by the situation.

"We have no other option. Without Kumogakure's help, can we really beat Konoha with Chen Hyuga on the battlefield?", said Hanzō, looking at the Third Kazekage, expecting a reasonable response.

The Third Kazekage remained silent, clenching his fists as he tried to contain his frustration. He knew Hanzō was right, but that didn't make the situation any less bitter.

"Not only do we have to agree to their unreasonable demands, but we also have to support them, take a quarter of our supplies and hand it over," said Ōnoki, his eyes gleaming.

"Ōnoki, YOU'VE LOST YOUR MIND!", shouted the Third Kazekage, looking at him as if he'd gone mad. "WHAT KIND OF PLAN IS THAT?"

"Hmph! Naturally, I have a purpose for this," replied Ōnoki, but his eyes betrayed that he had something else in mind.

Despite his annoyance, the Third Kazekage couldn't help but listen carefully to what Ōnoki had to say.

"The materials we'll give them won't be a simple gift. The condition is that Kumogakure puts all their effort into this. Now, most of Konoha's ninjas are here, and they won't be able to resist if Kumogakure attacks with force," explained Ōnoki.

The Third Kazekage frowned, increasingly irritated. "Isn't Kumogakure the one reaping all the benefits here? We're the ones taking the risks, and they just harvest the rewards!"

Ōnoki let out a sarcastic laugh, looking at him with disdain. "I'm not finished yet! Why such a rush? The youth of today are too impatient."

"Kumogakure's aggressive attack on the Land of Fire will provoke an immediate reaction from Konoha. And if there's anyone who can stop the mighty Kumogakure, it will be Chen Hyuga," said Ōnoki, a sinister smile forming on his face. "If they want something, they'll have to face Chen Hyuga first... And that won't be easy!"

The Third Kazekage smiled with determination and slammed the table. "That's it! Without Chen Hyuga, Konoha doesn't scare us!" He stood up, feeling the frustration he'd accumulated over the past days begin to dissipate.

So far, he'd been forced to hold back, endure the sneak attacks and constant pressure from Konoha, but with Chen out of the picture, everything would be different.

Why shouldn't they dare to fight? Without Chen Hyuga in the field, relying on their numerical superiority, they could press Konoha to the limit.

Although Chen had annihilated seven thousand ninjas with a single attack, Ōnoki and the others knew they had a significant advantage in terms of troop numbers. After all, they were several allied villages against one, and Konoha was alone in this conflict.

"If they really manage to transfer Chen Hyuga, then it's not impossible to face them," added Hanzō. The reason he wanted to back out was simple: Chen's strength was overwhelming. Even with more than 7,000 ninjas in Amegakure, he knew they wouldn't be enough against him.

"We'll do exactly what the Tsuchikage said. After all, I'm not willing to give up after more than a month of fighting," declared the Third Kazekage, following Ōnoki's plan.

Although the idea of giving away supplies made him uncomfortable, the possibility of finally taking a piece of the Land of Fire motivated him. Thinking about the riches of that land almost made his saliva drip.
