Chapitre 248: Giving Them Time to Think
After a rather lengthy conversation with the admiral we all decided to adjourn for a day or two and then pick it up again at a more official meeting. Taking that under consideration I quickly apparated away and reappeared back in Atlantis where I quickly started to interface with the city and uploading the information from the tablets.
Using the knowledge I had gained I slowly began to tinker with the construction of automatons. I created some Vibranium and Adamantium as my hands lit on fire, the fire doing no damage to me. I took my hands and slowly began to shape the metal, the large metallic cubes turning molten and reforming into the form of a destroyer from Asgard. I ran my hands across the molten metal and began to form runes within the construct, magic gathering and charging the construct. Shields, weapons, spells and other forms of powers all coalescing into the singular construct. Finally, with a mass exodus of steam the form of a destroyer emerged, its form even more intimidating than the original it was based on as It was quickly made completely Onyx by the addition of Inertron into the structure of its body.
Within seconds of starting it was finished and there stood a large fifteen foot tall automaton with glowing orange gaps between the layers of its armour. I was smiling as I considered these a massive boon to the military. If the androids were the intelligent forms of automatons, these were the brawn of automatons. Quickly I stored the automaton and teleported to a free segment of the city, adjacent to the new dock district.
From there i created a new segment of the city and placed all ten of the automaton factories. Going inside I quickly decked it out with runes and auto enchantment machines, then connecting it to the Military District where the Academy and Military Base of Atlantis was. At the same time I sent a small letter to the heads of the military and told them to come up with new tactics and uses for the automatons, sending the one I made over as a model.
The production line soon started and now with a constant stream of Vibranium, Adamantium and other ores the Destroyer-like automatons were being automatically created and deployed to the military. With all of this finished I decided to go do something I had been hesitating to do.
I appeared above the Pacific Ocean not too far away from Atlantis. I pulled out a card and placed it on the surface of the water. Like a tsunami of constructed architecture a massive building the size of a small continent started to rise from the ocean and even descend into it. The architectural style of the building was Gothic and monumentally massive, 138,000 floors tall, enough to reach Elysium's position in orbit, which lucky was off by quite an amount of distance from where this would reach. The building was intimidating and awe inspiring as it took started to alight with light similar to that of the sun, preventing any issues from shadows killing wildlife.
A screen popped up with a request for a purpose. I quickly put in 'Military Base/Planetary Shield'. With a massive shift of geometry, much like when Yao starts changing buildings, the colossal structure morphed and became a multi-tiered landing pad building with multiple layers of shields covering it, the exterior shining in a bright red. From where the stratosphere ends on the building a large interlinking hexagonal construct covered the atmosphere of Terra, A bright red shield filling each Hexagon and spilling over the perimeters of the hexagons.
On the building AA weapons and orbital defence weaponry emerged and quickly began to move, scanning the skies for potential threats. The massive thing about this structure was that it was a mix of cylindrical and square shapes, the base being layered cubes that had landing pads every ten floors. From the 65,000th floor upwards it became cylindrical and consisted more of defences and labs. The entire mega structure was filled to the brim with everything military. Shipyards for spaceships, those being on the 100,000th floor upwards and having another one every 5000 floors. Let us just say that everything needed for a superbly powerful species to protect the planet and launch military vessels into conflict was within the building. From there I quickly brought over some androids from the factory and gave them the job of being caretakers of the building's operations, giving them special titles within the military, me updating the ranks with my hand held tablet.
With that finished and completed I then whisked back to Atlantis where I quickly got hold of some of the Government workers and quickly called for an emergency press conference. The media had all started branches in Atlantis since five years ago and had some of their most experienced reporters ready for any announcement, drama or problems. With alacrity and coherence the members o government swiftly began to contact reporters and issue orders to separate departments to organise a press conference.
'It's time to evolve humanity and inform them of the threat coming to this new Multiverse.'
...
Within an hour I stood in front of the Podium, addressing the world as cameras were recording around the room.
"I am sorry for the quick notice and the suddenness of this whole conference but I have some important information for the people of Terra."
"Today, we have found signs of the same enemy who destroyed our past Multiverse, in this one. As of 10:15am this morning we have engaged these forces with the Veritas Imperium's Armada. This task force was named Vindicator. We suffered no losses, in both ships or personnel, this conflict was overwhelmingly in our odds with aid from The Republic and The Sith Empire. It was our force of 600+ Vessels against 200+ of the enemy known as the Ori.
"There are 20 or more fleets of this size with an unknown amount that could come later currently in this multiverse. As of today, we are at war."
There was a large outbreak of worried voices and concerned shouts as many people had determined looks crossing their faces and a lot of people, I could tell, began to seriously consider joining in the fight, despite their current jobs.
"I have strove to advance humanity and evolve society. I would like to think I have achieved that in some sense, so far. Also as of today, I have gathered technology from a species called the Forerunners. As of today humanity has now become a species with the necessary technology to control the energy of entire solar systems and possibly galaxies."
There was another wave of talking and gasps as people were getting rocked by the massive announcements. I wasn't finished yet however, and they felt that as they quietened down soon after.
"I have built a new structure using my powers that has created a planetary defence mechanism, a planetary shield if you will. This structure is declared as a no go zone for civilian aircraft or transport, without military sanction. I have taken steps towards securing out own world and solar system as I have sent several of my government officials to start working on securing us from internal threats that remain hidden. To expand our research to greater depths. Work with our military to expand on training and recruitment. And, now, with my own actions... To announce the evolution of humanity."
The auditorium exploded in shouts and questions at the end of my statement. Voices and shouts did not cease for several minutes as they were all shocked and stunned by the announcements. Little did they expect a declaration of way, let alone the announcement of a mega structure, technology beyond their grasp and now the evolution of Humanity.
"Emelia! What is this evolution you are speaking about!?" A familiar woman spoke out, the same from the first ever press conference I had done. I smiled and began speaking again.
"Humans will advance into High Humans. This change has no negative effects and is instead a massive boon to every human on the planet. Your life spans will increase from 100 years maximum to thousands of years. Your talents in magic and every other ability will skyrocket. Beauty will be abundant amongst every human and those that have ailments will be immune to them, cancer? Gone. HIV and other STDS? Gone. You will have disease immunity.
Another wave of exclamations rang out, making me wait for them.
"What can you do to ensure that this doesn't make life worse?" This was Asmongold this time, the streamer having moved to Atlantis for the Internet speeds and comfort.
"How can I ensure it? Easy, my wives would be affected as well... If i was not sure, i wouldn't be announcing it." He nodded and seemed to have an accepting look on his face as the rest of the crowd slowly settled down.
That was when I took out the card and activated it, initiating a process that would forever change humanity across Terra Nova and Terra.
