"You are scared of loving someone."

Richard stated after a short comfortable silence. His eyes were searching for hers and the moment they came to look at each other, he entrapped her under his burning gaze.

He was not wrong. She was scared because all that love did was to course heartbreaks.' She internally admitted to herself.

She had loved her parents dearly and the only reward she got out of it, it was being handed over to people who wanted to have her dead. Then there was Mandy, a girl she had practically grown up considering as a sister and again, what she got in return was betrayal. Would she really allow herself to love anyone again?
