Chapitre 60: Chapter 60: Chase Your Love for Tesla!!! (4k)

Autumn arrived, and after a drizzling rain last night, the temperature dropped. Early in the morning, a frost covered the ground, causing the sycamore leaves that swayed in the streets yesterday to fall. The quiet ground was covered with a layer of fallen leaves, and a faint earthy smell permeated the entire street.

On this clear morning, Chase slept in his small cabin. His sleeping face slightly wrinkled, as if immersed in a distant dream.

In the dream, a happy young man walked out of a clothing store, holding a carefully wrapped gift box for his sister's birthday.

On his way back, the young man encountered a Honkai beast, and a man rescued him from the beast's attack.

The man with glasses took the young man to the hospital and asked him a question:

"Do you want to know the truth about this world?"

...

Chase opened his eyes, got up from the bed, and curiously looked at the sycamore leaf on his body. He turned to his window and realized he had left it open last night.

He pinched the leaf, and it carried a unique rain scent after being washed by the rain. Compared to the dry leaves, it felt more resilient. Chase squeezed it slightly but didn't crush it.

He walked to the desk, casually placing the leaf in a nearby dictionary. Then, he tore off a page from the calendar on the table, revealing today's date:

November 9th.

This day was circled fiercely in red with a time notation in the lower left corner. Chase glanced at it, silently noting the information and planning his day.

If everything goes as expected, a small Honkai Eruption will occur in the outskirts of Berlin today. Welt, who is working on promotional activities for E.T.Studio in Berlin, will happen to deal with the Honkai beast born from it.

This is what happened in the last simulation, and Chase encountered Welt Yang during this Honkai event.

...

Chase kept recalling the details of the previous simulation in his mind, thinking about the execution of the subsequent plans. His eyes, inadvertently, swept over the notes he made for Sirin on the table, and he smiled slightly.

No hurry, let's make breakfast for Sirin first.

......

The weather today couldn't be called clear due to the recent rain, and a thick layer of clouds still covered the sky. Sirin didn't know when the sun had risen, but she knew she should go to her brother for a meal.

Her brother's cooking was delicious. Sirin reminisced about the wonderful taste, and a smile unconsciously appeared on her lips.

Suddenly, she shook her head, dismissing the dreadful memory. She couldn't think about it anymore; she was getting hungrier the more she thought about it.

Then, without hesitation, Sirin stepped out of the house. Her determined expression resembled a warrior about to enter the battlefield.

The dining table was the battlefield, the knife and fork were weapons, and eating to satisfaction was justice! The destination was her brother's home. Charge!

o(〃'▽'〃)o

Due to the proximity of Chase's house, Sirin arrived at the front door of Chase's house after just a few steps. She was about to knock on the door as usual and wait for her dear brother to open it, giving him a morning hug...

She lightly knocked on the door, then stepped back, hands behind her back, quietly waiting. As if thinking of something joyful, Sirin's mouth involuntarily curved up, and the cat-like ears that had always stayed down seemed to lift a bit...

"Hmm~?" Sirin was obviously in a good mood, humming a song while carefully surveying the well-maintained courtyard that Chase had meticulously cared for.

The lawn was tidy as before, and the flowers were still in bloom. Out-of-season flowers had been replaced by Chase because Sirin enjoyed looking at them.

However, Sirin didn't see the expected figure of her brother coming to open the door. Instead, Chase's voice came from behind the door.

"The door isn't locked; just come in, and remember to close it."

"Oh, okay." Sirin responded somewhat disappointedly, walked in, and as if suddenly remembering something, the slight cloud of disappointment on her face disappeared.

She cautiously looked around the living room, not seeing her brother. He must be in the kitchen!

Now she could sneak in to see her brother cooking. Yay! o(〃'▽'〃)o

Sirin couldn't help but give herself a pat on the back for her cleverness and began stepping with her small feet, carefully poking her head out, peering into the kitchen.

Chase seemed to have expected this. He had his hands on his hips, smiling at Sirin, who peeked from the kitchen doorway. Their eyes met, Chase's deep blue pupils with Sirin's golden eyes...

Stare—

In the end, Sirin couldn't hold her ground, weakly saying, "Brother, don't look at Sirin like that."

Chase smiled, waving at Sirin. "Come over and taste it."

Upon hearing this, Sirin's smile was as bright as sunshine, revealing a unique innocence and liveliness. She happily skipped over and started eating.

Originally, the food would be ready in a while, but Sirin always liked to sneak into the kitchen and take a bite first. Even though she was teased by Chase every time, she still enjoyed it.

Well, let them laugh. At least I got to eat, no regrets!

"Alright, let's go, time to eat!" Chase looked at Sirin with indulgence and helplessness.

"Eat, eat! (*^▽^*)" Sirin jumped with excitement.

........

The light from outside quietly spilled into the house. As time passed, the interior seemed to brighten even more.

Sirin sat on a high stool by the table, freely swaying her fair little feet like a happy bunny. She held the freshly baked bread made by Chase, her eyes crescent-shaped, occasionally making some incomprehensible sounds.

Sirin's expression was probably like this: (≧?≦)

In short, Sirin, the little angel eating breakfast, was very cute.

"Hey, brother, your sleeve has a hole?" While eating breakfast, Sirin suddenly noticed a hole in Chase's clothes and pointed it out.

"Where...?" Chase looked but didn't find the hole that Sirin mentioned.

"Here~" Sirin finally put down the bread in her hand and pointed with her finger.

"Oh, I'll just change into a new one later," Chase said casually. He had plenty of money; changing clothes wasn't a big deal.

"No, that's not okay, it's too wasteful!" Sirin protested with puffed cheeks. "I'll help my brother sew it up."

"Does Sirin know how to sew? That's impressive!" Chase was somewhat surprised. Sewing was a skill Sirin had never demonstrated in the previous simulations. He clapped at the right moment, giving encouragement.

"I learned a bit from Mom recently. It's not a big deal, hehehe." Sirin seemed pleased with Chase's praise, and even though her smiling face couldn't hide it, she still tried to appear modest.

Chase thought this might be tsundere. Clearly caring but pretending not to. With Sirin's hair that couldn't be pressed down on both sides, she really looked like a tsundere cat.

"Well, let me change out of this shirt then. After you finish sewing it, you can bring it back," Chase lowered his head, somewhat shy.

"Sure, leave it to Sirin," Sirin said with determination, blushing on her cheeks.

"Thank you," Chase patted Sirin's head, smiling, then took off the shirt, carefully folded it, and handed it to Sirin. "Thanks."

...

Full and satisfied, Sirin happily walked out of Chase's house, holding his shirt. She returned to her own home with a contented smile.

"Hey, Sirin, what's this?" Her mother, curious, asked knowingly.

"Brother's shirt is torn, so I brought it back to mend it," Sirin replied.

"Then put it on the table; I'll sew it up and bring it back to him later." Her mother said.

"No, no," Sirin shook her head firmly, and her purple hair danced in the air. "Sirin promised brother to fix it herself."

"Alright, alright~" Her mother indulgently smiled.

Sirin carried Chase's shirt back to her room. She spread it out on the bed, observed the location of the hole, but her attention gradually shifted to another thing.

Is this really my brother's shirt?

Sirin picked up the shirt, curiously brought it close to her face, wanting to smell it, but suddenly recoiled, her face turning completely red.

What am I doing! Σ(っ °Д °;)っゞ

...

After the morning episode, Chase checked the time, changed into a new shirt, and left early.

After the light rain last night, there were still puddles on the ground and leaves that hadn't been swept away. Chase walked slowly towards his destination.

He didn't walk fast, as his physical condition didn't allow it.

As he walked, the communication device on his hand suddenly vibrated, displaying a message.

[Honkai Eruption event in the outskirts of Berlin. Please evacuate as soon as possible. Coordinates are 13°*′E, 52°*′N.]

[——Honkai Warning by Schicksal]

Chase checked the coordinates, compared them with his memory, and found a perfect match. His steps became more steady.

Things were going smoothly according to his expectations, and his mood relaxed a bit.

Looking around, he walked up to a homeless man, casually rewarded him with the communication device, winning the man's gratitude. Chase waved, leaving behind a meaningful and mysterious smile in the grateful eyes of the man. He even helped a little girl catch a balloon about to fly away, then waved and left.

The Honkai warning system was not widely known, but it was a feature added by his mother in the communication device, considering his health condition. It also included a location system, and the two systems ran parallelly, sharing information. For example, when Chase was located in the area of a Honkai event, the communication device would automatically sound an alarm, and then a squad of Schicksal's Valkyries would be dispatched for rescue.

This was not what Chase wanted. He needed to meet with Welt, and Schicksal must not find out.

As for the communication device, let it be; it had biometric recognition, and others couldn't use it even if they got their hands on it.

Chase walked ahead, suddenly hearing someone shout. It was the little girl from earlier, holding a balloon, waving to him in gratitude. Chase paused, then smiled, giving the little girl a thumbs up, looking cool as he left.

.........

Welt Yang felt puzzled. Why did a Honkai occur just as he arrived in Berlin?

Is this Honkai chasing after me?

But a Honkai being near Berlin, Welt decided to handle it himself to avoid causing more casualties. After all, this city had some special significance to him as a Second Herrscher. Although handling public relations work wasn't his job, he chose to do it this time.

Casually using gravity to crush the last Honkai creature, Welt sighed, ready to leave. Soon, a squad of Schicksal's Valkyries would come to clean up the aftermath.

He took one last look at the wreckage of the Honkai creatures on the ground, turned to leave, and then stopped. He seemed to sense something and turned back, finding a young man approaching him.

The young man noticed Welt looking at him, stopped in his tracks, and smiled, radiating friendliness.

Welt scrutinized the young man not far away, with white hair and blue eyes...

These distinctive features immediately made Welt associate him with the Kaslana, one of the three major families of Schicksal.

"...?" Having guessed Chase's identity, Welt had no intention of talking to him directly. He planned to use his abilities to fly into the air and leave.

However, a single sentence from Chase made him hesitate.

"If you like Dr. Tesla, go after her. Don't drag it on." Chase's tone was calm but carried an unmistakable meaning.

Considering Welt's character during this period, he was reluctant to have direct contact with Schicksal. Moreover, the physiological characteristics of his current body were too obvious, and direct contact would likely lead to his identity being exposed. It had to be done before an attack or departure to attract the other's attention.

Moreover, this was the outbreak site of the Honkai. He couldn't stay here for too long. Just standing here, he already felt discomfort...

He had to be quick!

If negotiations couldn't be settled in a short time, he would have to leave quickly and reconsider his plan.

Welt, in the midst of using his ability, momentarily stalled, almost losing his balance and falling from the sky.

What is this Kaslana saying?! How does he know about me and Tesla? No, what could there be between me and Tesla?

"What do you want to say? Kaslana family member." Welt's eyes were full of vigilance as he asked.

Chase felt relieved that there was a willingness to talk. However, he maintained a calm expression and suggested, "I represent only myself. Let's find a place to sit and talk."

He really... couldn't stay here for too long.
