Chapitre 9: My Underwear

"Collar, but it's made of cotton," Sonia observed quickly. As the wolf approached, the collar became clearer.

"Underwear? That's not a collar; it's underwear. Hmm," Sonia said curiously. I was embarrassed because... "That's my brief!" I exclaimed, as if I would admit those words!

"Yeah, and the wolf's face is a little brown."

Sonia, can't you just stop? Do you want me to say it? What that is?

"What should we do? Maybe it's a unique monster?"

Ahhh, Sonia, stop with your hypotheses.

I held Elina's shoulder to stop her from casting. I knew she was impulsive and aggressive when the situation changed.

"Let's go. We just came from a battle! We have to be careful now!" I said.

"We should be careful now and focus on the objective, not just killing." Steve, who was genuinely thinking about our next steps, agreed with my proposal. "We are already in a high rank; even if we didn't kill, we are still in the top 5."

That's true because our group has the lowest number—four people in one group, considered suicidal by others. There are two ways to pass the exam: participating to kill monsters or completing the task to exit the wormhole. But I am only aware of this; the school sometimes requires both if student takers exceed more than necessary.

That's why everyone forms larger groups; their goal is to reach the location area. But the larger the group, the slower it becomes, and rest time takes a lot longer. Also, a large number of people will spawn at the monster house always.

The restriction I put in the wormhole: the number must be equal, so if a large group goes inside, the wormhole will be more dangerous.

Also, I don't want to face a wolf holding my brief. It would be really awkward if Steve were familiar with the design, and disaster would strike if he recognized it as identical to my own.

We let go of that embarrassing wolf monster! It's better not to meet it again; it was dangerous, at least in my heart.

We start walking again.

"How many hours have we been walking?" Elina, who usually doesn't speak, asked.

But no one was interested in answering her. We were too tired to talk. It was already night, and the only light was from the moon.

I'm a little scared—no, I'm very scared right now. My butt is a little itchy. Washing it with water only is not good, but if we get ambushed, we can't fight; we will lose. It's better to continue and finish this entrance exam quickly so I can wash my buttocks with soap.

I've been thinking about that too! Also, now my back is killing me with this bag. Sonia is sleeping on Steve's back, holding her staff, as I suggested because Steve was also too worried about Sonia's condition. But I know she can't really go that far without complaining.

We are just looking at the ground, walking like zombies, for many hours straight, looking at the people. In the distance, we can hear many people, probably a hundred, but they are not walking; they are arguing.

"Can we take a rest more?"

"Are you an idiot? We are near, so we should finish it and sleep!"

"Probably we walked three kilometers; don't complain!"

We are listening to their argument. Some are following us, walking, and some are resting. We don't know what's happening; we just walk and avoid looking at them to avoid trouble.

"Why are there so many people there?" Elina was unusually talkative now.

We can't really see, but we can hear a lot of people looking at us. Due to these people behind us, it looks like we've formed a group, but there are more people who want to rest.

"How many are you?" I inquired with the last person in their party.

"We don't know; probably a hundred. We are the craftsmen left by the group we joined; our leader was Drake, but he left us when we said we wanted to rest."

I feel sympathy for them; as a craftsman, I understand how weak craftsman are. I can't even scratch a monster.

"Then count yourselves, starting with you! Also, create two lines so that the wolf thinks we are a large animal." I suggested a creative idea, but it was a lie.

I don't know if it's effective, but it looks better than us almost occupying the whole road like we are a wave.

We won't add them to our party, but it's better to walk with them than go on our own. Then we walk again without any problem, but I'm tired, and I feel like I'll fall on the ground; my legs are really weak now. Steve and Sonia walk without looking back; they are in a state of unconsciousness like real zombies, but I can't let them leave me.

From my bag, I pull out Sonia's staff and walk like an old man, relying on the staff. Everyone behind me does the same, pulling out their staffs.

"I feel we look like an old man and old woman parade."

But as we walk, we see a green light from afar—the exit wormhole. Even so, there are people who choose to crawl due to exhaustion in their legs. I can see Sonia awake and strong; Steve is very tired; and Elina is also tired, but she has more stamina, and her body has a different constitution than mine—she is three times as strong as me physically, so she probably doesn't sweat.

Many people behind me are crying. I know why they are crying because this exam was really impossible for craftsmen like us. As we near the portal, Steve smiles and nods to me and the other three.

"Wait! What? Don't leave me!" I reach them with my hand.

Waving her hand, Elina is the first to exit, followed by Steve with a thumbs up, leaving Sonia behind with me. But is she going to the wormhole? She's 1 meter away from the wormhole.

Can you at least lift me or just pull me to the wormhole?

Sonia lifts her staff and points to the sky.

"Is she telling something?" I asked, but no one in my background know.

I follow what she points out. No, it was straight to the moon.

"Area Stamina!" She casts a stamina skill twice—a skill that has a high backfire on the person who uses it.

But in this situation, everyone has the same feeling, united by this goal. "We will finish the entrance exam!" Everyone's heart unites.

After that, the whole area lit up with a weird magic circle that was colored yellow—a buff skill.

"Everyone, run now! You have 2 minutes, and it will wear off!" Sonia shouts.

I am the first to stand up and run, and at the same moment, everyone runs. We run like a marathon; our bodies can't feel any pain or tire. We feel powerful and vigorous!

"I feel my body is strong!"

"Is she a goddess?"

"Who is she?"

"She helped us without talking."

"No one in support helped us like this!"

"She is like the goddess of the moon!"

Even though everyone knew the skill, it was their first time on this entrance exam to be supported in such a way.

Sonia, who's nearest to the wormhole, exits, laughing and waving. It can't be helped—many of us are crying because we are near but can only crawl like worms.

"Yay!"

"Goddess, wait!"

"Finally!"

"This is the end!"

"Goddess! I will be your follower!"

We run like children, but we don't care; we only need to finish this. And so, I am the second to exit the entrance, after Sonia.
