Chapitre 14: Chapter 14: The Darkness
Osamu went home after deciding his reward. He is to accept them tomorrow once Hiruzen prepared the list where he can choose in the afternoon.
Yago Residence
"Welcome back, big bro!" Shiori was the first to greet Osamu upon his return home as she rushed to him.
Osamu hugged his sister and smiled on the feeling of finally returning home.
"I'm back, did you miss me?"
"Yes! I miss big bro! I have no one to play around the house." Shiori complained.
"Huh? Don't you have friends whom you play with outside?"
"That's outside, I'm talking about afterwards when I am at the house and it's not allowed to go out."
"Silly kid, you should rest when your at home after a day of nothing but playing."
"You sound like mom and dad." Shiori complained while pouting.
"Hahaha, well I'm already an adult so it's only fair I tell you what to do."
"No! Your just older than me but you're not an adult yet."
"Hooh, trying to be clever are we?" Osamu commented as he pinch her cheeks
"Muuuhhh shhhcwop ichh"
"Welcome back son." Their banter was suddenly interrupted by his mother.
"Mom!" Osamu hugged his mother but still holding shiori who was now in between them.
"No no no no, let me go first!!!"

Dinner time
Osamu fortold what happened in the Chunin exam during dinner.
His parents were proud of him, even his sister was inspired to be a Shinobi just like her big brother.
After dinner the Yago family went to rest, all but one person. That could only be Osamu.
'its been 6 years since I've come to this world. I now have the chakra reserves of a proper chunin. Still, I can't help but feel that I am not yet doing everything I can. All that I am right now, it is still not enough for what's to come.'
'Konoha crush, should I face Orochimaru or try to prevent Hiruzen's death? Sasuke's rescue, should I join them in battling the sound four? Akatsuki's emergence to collect the Tailed beasts, should I try to talk to Kurama about it? Itachi's death, Should I tell Sasuke the truth? Should I stop Jiraiya's death? Konoha's destruction, what can I even do? A mere Chunin?'
'There is only one thing I am sure I will do though, no matter how weak I am, I will never let my family die or hurt.'
Determination shone through Osamu's facial expression as he tried to stimulate his spiritual energy.
Before, controlling spiritual energy let's him circulate it mainly in the upper chakra pathway systems of his body.
Now however, he is able to have it circulate all around him. Yet the results it yielded was not within his expectation.
Besides a bit of enhancement to his physical strength, it does nothing else. It is even lower than the physical strength provided by chakra or physical energy itself.
He was now in an empasse. What else could he do using spiritual energy? There were a lot of anime as reference that uses spiritual energy, maybe he can use one of it?
'doesn't hurt to try I guess.'
Doesn't the z warriors use it in dragon ball? Or was it ki? What's the difference?
Osamu contemplates as he tries to gather spiritual energy on his hand.
The results?
It gathered on his hand, but it didn't came out like when the z fighters fires a ki blast. It enveloped his hands like a glove though.
'wait, what if I gather both the spiritual energy and physical energy on my fist?'
Having a sudden inspiration, Osamu went out to the training Ground in the middle of the night to try his theory.
Arriving at the familiar training ground, Osamu didn't waste time to test his new insight.
Osamu was in front of a tree.
He concentrated first.
Gathered his spiritual energy towards his fist while directing his physical energy towards his fist too.
As soon as both energies collided on the same location, he could feel his hands getting heavier by the second.
The air around his fist was swirling around it, he can feel a certain pressure emmited from it, before he can further gather and fuse more of the said energies, the combination was on the verge of collapse as his control was slipping.
Before it can affect him, Osamu threw a punch to the tree in front of him with the current energies collapsing at the same moment.
Boom!!!
A blast akin to that of a small grenade could've been witnessed had Osamu tried it with an audience.
Without waiting for anyone, Osamu used shunshin as fast as possible to evade a possible interview from the Anbus on their way.
Once at home, he relaxed and reviewed what happened. Why did the fusion collapse when it is successfully formed inside him?
His chakra pool/reserves is the solid evidence that such collapse upon fusing spiritual and physical energy shouldn't have happened, but it did.
Was it because he did it outside?
What if he used smaller quantities?
He can only try again tomorrow after getting his rewards from the Hokage.

Morning
Osamu woke up late in the morning due to exhaustion that caught up to him upon sleeping late last night.
So imagine to his absolute surprise when Danzo was slipping tea at their living room talking to his Father.
His mother on leave, was watching the Bakery shop with his sister.
"Uhhh, what's going on? Who's the guest father?" Osamu asked, a bit nervous but didn't show it on his face or actions as he slowly sats beside his father.
"Son, glad you're awake. This one in front of me is Lord Danzo, one of the advisors of the third Hokage. He's offering for you to become his disciple." His father told him directly what Danzo wanted.
"With all due respect Lord Danzo, I don't want to be your disciple. I am already under the care of Hatake Kakashi." Upon hearing his answer Danzo stared at him.
"Yes, your Jonin sensei. However, now that you are a Chunin, it really doesn't make sense for you to continue to be so, sooner or later you will lead your own team, are you not? Then why not complete your training under me, I guarantee that you will eventually reach Jonin rank in a shorter amount of time." Danzo persuaded.
'it might've worked to others, but not to me. I will never be under you, Shimura.'
"I am really glad to hear such an offer Lord Danzo, but as much as it might be a pleasure to be your disciple, I still decline. I am sorry." Osamu stood indicating his final choice. His father feeling that his son might make elder Danzo angry was about to say something but Osamu noticed his reaction and prevented any words coming out of his mouth.
"Father, I am going to the Hokage's office to collect my rewards. Please see Elder Danzo off on your own for me." Osamu immediately rushed out of the conversation.

After escaping Danzo
Although still tense from meeting Danzo, Osamu's curious thought of what happened yesterday was still on.
As soon as he was sure he was not monitored, he immediately guided his spiritual and physical energy towards his index finger.
Once they were fusing, he felt the same incredible pressure from the fusion but in but a few moments, his control crumbles in no time.
This went on for a few hours with him trying it in his hands, fingers, and even both his feet.
Eventually, the only thing he learned was how to release the collapsing fused energy.
It might sound like a way to have an offense jutsu but so far, the unpredictable collapsing time of the fusion makes it unreliable.
A jutsu is only truly complete when you are able to control when it will activate and you are capable of deactivating it. Both are not possible on his current stage. He needs to further refine it.
Then he thought.
'why don't I try fusing them outside? Although I was not successful in bringing them outside of my body before but now I am familiar on how to expell them after so many trial and errors, how about I-'
Osamu brought his left and right hands together as if holding something.
'concentratre, gather physical energy on my right hand, then, spiritual energy on my left'
As soon as both energies were stable, Osamu tried to remember the feeling when it was about to collapse and he expelled them.
But instead of simply expelling them, he tried containing them on his palms that were brought together.
He tried fusing them outside and as soon as he did, the fusion exploded on his face.
Boom!
Hokage office
Afternoon
Osamu reported without the sign of ashes on his face, but his brown hair was still standing tall and proud after the explosions earlier.
Kakashi was not around but Shikaku is there guarding the scrolls that they plan to show Osamu. Although forbidden ninjutsu were not included in the scrolls, the jutsus created by a Hokage and notes on them were still something worth almost if not the same as any forbidden ninjutsu.
"Welcome, young Osamu. Are you ready to pick your rewards?" Hiruzen enthusiastically asked.
"Hmmmn." Osamu nodded in a distracted manner which did not escape Shikaku or Hiruzen's attention.
"Is something wrong, Osamu-kun?"
"I don't know."
"Why don't you tell me what's troubling you?"
"I don't really know if I should do that."
"Nonsense, I am the Hokage. You can tell me anything."
"Well if you say so. It's just that this morning, Lord Danzo visited my home and asked me to be his disciple. I kinda turned him down, I just hope he doesn't get mad at me and might take action?" Shikaku and Hiruzen looked at each other in disbelief.
Danzo was acting on his own again without permission.
"Don't worry, I will talk to him myself later. For now, why don't you start looking for the jutsu you want to learn?" Hiruzen easily dismissed and offered to him.
Pleased with Hiruzen's answer, Osamu immediately started looking.
