Chapitre 29: Blood in the mansion

After Dunice had given Madison Jeffery's number, the other day she called Jeffrey and suggested meeting up at the beach that same day which he agreed to.

"Hi Jeff," Madison greeted cheerfully.

"Hey, Madison," Jeffrey replied with a slight smile.

"You look grumpy," Madison teased, nudging him playfully.

"But you always look grumpy," she quickly added, trying to lighten the mood.

Jeffrey paused for a moment before speaking up, "Can I ask you a question?"

"Of course," Madison replied, her curiosity piqued.

"You have had a crush on someone for a very long time and you finally confessed your feelings even if you knew you wouldn't stand a chance. Do you think it's a wise thing to do?" Jeffery asked while looking at her.

"Absolutely," Madison replied, her voice tinged with sincerity.
