Chapitre 153: The impact of his words

Kaoma hissed, "You're lying! The biggest crock you are feeding me is using the time difference as an excuse to dissuade me from returning home."

"I have no reason to lie Kaoma, I only speak the truth," admitted Maxixe said in a hard tone, cautioning her to be sensible about the entire conversation.

Even as much as she wanted to doubt him, she could hear the truth, the sincerity in his words.

Maxixe was too pragmatic about it, too matter of fact and ready to offer proof if necessary. 

Her once flushed face turned pale, drained of color, the impact of his words depleted the last of her energy, all of this was so tiring.

Tears came to her eyes but she held them back determined not to let Maxixe see her cry. 

She felt like now was the time to give the bloodthirsty fairy a taste of his own medicine.

Kaoma grimaced as pain racked at her chest and if she hadn't gone berserk before, she certainly felt more inclined to do so now.
