A few minutes later…

"Kaoma, wake up."

There was a smile on her face, whatever dream she was in, she was clearly having a genuine good time and did not want to wake from it.

Warm calloused hands shook her again but the second time around it felt harder. 

Finally Kaoma's eyes peered wide open and she looked straight into Maxixe's face. 

Disgruntled, she wanted to snap at him for waking her up too soon but then it dawned on her that they were alone. 

Confused, she sat up on the couch while ensuring that the blanket covered her naked body.

"I'll wait outside," offered Sayid while looking everywhere else except at Lady Kaoma the door closed behind him.

As soon as the door closed she got up and flung herself into Maxixe's arms. 

"When did Sayid get here?" she inquired.

"Not too long ago… I tried to give you a few more minutes of rest since it will be a longer journey by horseback home."
