"How are you so sure it's him? 

Shouldn't he have returned to his place with the wound he got from Mara?"

"Aurelia told me she has increased the security, so she was sure Casius hasn't left the city."

Nerissa then had a thoughtful look; she still remembered what happened last time.

It's dangerous for Emily and her mother.

She even had to leave Malacai's side. 

"I will tell Mom not to go out from the mansion then, the same with Emily. Better to be safe."

Malacai nodded. They had already installed many new security systems in the mansion, turning it into a fortress. 

Even though it looks normal from the outside, if anyone were to come in now, many turrets would pop out from hidden places. 

"How about the people under Davis? Have they gotten used to the new weapons?"

"Yes, after all, they already used guns before. It's just a matter of getting used to it, not starting from scratch."
