Her voice then cracked, "Am I... useless... for you now?"

"Did you question my words, Nerissa?"

Malacai asked with a cold tone. 

Nerissa could feel the atmosphere around him change; she turned her gaze to his black eyes, emanating a coldness that used to etch fear into her soul. 

"What have I told you before?" Malacai asked again, coldly.

"You will never let me go."

Malacai's lips turned upward into a smile. "Then you should know it." 

His eyes then lifted upward, seeing the stars in the sky. 

"So what is with all those bullshit? You don't need to feel like that. It's a waste of time and energy."

"I'm sorry... I just want to know more about you, Malacai, that's why I told you about my past, but... I seem to have gotten overwhelmed by my emotions along the way."

"It's fine..." 

Malachi then asked as he looked into her blue eyes, "What do you want to know?"

"The scar on your body, where did you get it from?"
