Chapitre 40: Ian And Kell Gain
As it turned out, the trio did not turn up for the night. However, they did turn up for breakfast, at a nearby café.

The trio gulped. The smug smile of the mage duo all caused their honed instinct to scream, 'I am in danger'.
"So," Ian began, "how is your date?" Kell decides to man up and take the blow, "Especially at the end, you must have done a lot of exercise, right?"
Nope, he is a damn coward and he was fine being one. Unfortunately, the girls, his lovers, decided to abandon him right there.
"Kell will tell you all about it," Lisa said, with Ana nodding frantically. They then have the gall to push him towards the maw of the beast that is disguised as his beast friend and his lover.
"Go on, Kell, tell us everything," the girlish scream that rocked the cafe definitely did not come out of his mouth.

"What did I tell you, Kell, they have been gunning for you for quite some time," Ian said, laughing while at it. At that moment, they decided to stay inside their room to have a little guy talk.
"But it is so embarrassing to now have two girlfriends, or those in those worlds, we call it, lovers," Kell ponders.
"Just stick with girlfriends for now," Ian told him.
"But still, how badly did you do it with them? They were limping the entire time until I used Heal on them, and they still limp, just not as much as before," the bespectacled brunette asked.
Kell merely looked away, though Ian could see the tip of his ears turned red from embarrassment.
A big smile formed on his face, 'I hope Fiona has as much fun as me teasing the other two,'

"Urgh! You are just as bad as Ian!" Lisa wailed. Ana had already been knocked out, lying on the bed with steam coming out of her ears. She had been forced to tell the details of their night but did not manage much except for the earlier part.
With her comrade being taken down, Lisa is currently forced to face the teasing demon known to the world as Fiona, who seems to not want to have her prey escape her clutch.

'Safe Me!' the two pleased inside their mind. Unfortunately, their two friends did not intend to let them escape.

The next day, the trio was spared by the duo, who decided they had been teased enough for an entire week. At least, they hope the length of their respite will be last week.
In the meantime, they decided to stay with the same gender to calm their hormones down, as Ian eloquently put it.
Though Kell did not want to admit it having sex with the two girls is great. No wonder Ian did it with Fiona all the time.
He decided to look at his best friend, who was currently reading the Grimoire of Support with furrowed brows.
"Learn anything from that book?" Kell asked. After all, this is Ian the Child Genius they were talking about. Even if it is a magical book that derived from, well, magic then scientific principle, Ian would still understand its content with enough time
"Yes, I learned to Recover, a spell that helped in replenishing one's stamina, and Relieve, one that helps in curing soreness," Ian told him.
"Wait, isn't your heal can cure soreness?" Kell pointed out.
Ian decided to clear things out with the bigger male, "Yes, but remember, there is such thing as mana consumption. Relieve will help relieve the soreness with less mana than Heal, so it is more cost, or dare I say, mana-effective,"
Kell nodded. While he could not understand a lot of things his best friend said, most of the time, he understood this one. Ian merely decides to use the least energy, or mana-intensive action, to save himself for when the situation actually calls for it.
"How about you, what did you buy with your point?" Ian asked him.
"I bought a manual on wielding a spear," Kell answered him.
"Why?" Ian could not understand why he did that. After all, he is already good enough with his sword, why did he need to be proficient with another weapon?
"My system is the Weapon Master System, so it will be a lot easier. Not to mention, there might be some really strong monsters whose body is too big to be killed with just a sword, so a spear could do the trick,"
Ian could not find anything wrong with the logic, aside from it being time and energy-consuming. However, there is one thing he needs to point out, "You do realize we need to buy a spear for you then?"
Kell looked away, allowing Ian to know what he was thinking, "You forget, to get a spear, before buying the spear-wielding manual," Ian said, with some pauses.
Kell could feel himself slowly sweating from the aura Ian exuded. He decided to take the noble way out.

"Come Back Here, Your Oaf!" Ian yelled as he chased down the idiotic male, who screamed as he was hunted by Ian.
Their chase took them all over the town, with the civilian seeing a blonde man being chased by a demon wearing spectacles, or so the witness claimed, along with some line they heard.
"Come here, I am just going to beat you up into a bloody pulp!"
"No, I don't want to die yet!"
"Don't worry, it will be absolutely painful and long!"
"Is that supposed to make me stop!"
"Come here so I can give your punishment!"
"Punishment, more like execution! I am not going anywhere near you!"

"Next time, think before doing stuff like that again," Ian chastised the bigger male, who was dragged by the brunette back to their lodging.
Smoke could be seen from his head, where a bump suddenly appeared. Kell merely groaned in pain as Ian had given him a lot to think (he beat him a lot).
For now, they should make their way to their room, and maybe go to a cafe while at it. After all, it is already dusk. Though, if the girls see them, there will be gossip spreading all over the town.
He did not want to hear another gossip about how they both were madly in love with each other! They barely escaped that hell in the previous life, there is no way he will not harm those who spread those rumors.
