Chapitre 23: I want you to break up with him!

Chen Mumu blushed, "It is a secret!"

Director Zhang laughed and then dismissed her, "You should go now. We will deal with Bao De."

Chen Mumu nodded and walked away happily. It was getting dark already. There were many things still left for her to do. She still needed to visit the hospital to check on her mother. She was probably worried after not being able to reach her the whole day!

Director Zhang and the rest watched her leave. They all had different expressions. Li Wei turned and stared at Bao De who was still writhing on the floor not far from them. He clicked his tongue, "He is trash, is there really a need for us to help him?"

Producer Wang scoffed, "Absolutely not!"

The five of them also left leaving Bao De on the floor to help himself up!

Chen Mumu was on her way to hail a taxi when someone pulled up next to her in a black car. Chen Mumu was surprised. She moved away but then the person suddenly rolled their window down.

As soon as she saw who the person was, her eyes twitched in displeasure.

What was Jiang Lei doing here?

Jiang Lei shouted, "Chen Mumu, let's talk!"

His tone was very authoritative. Chen Mumu rolled her eyes and moved two steps away. She ignored him like he did not exist!

Jiang Lei was getting impatient. He did not like being ignored like this.

He shouted, "Get in the car or I will get out and drag you inside!"

Chen Mumu heard that and scoffed, "I would like to see you try!"

Jiang Lei knew that was a threat. He also knew there was no way he could carry Chen Mumu forcefully to his car so he used another tactic, "You see this?"

He held up a very small snow globe with a castle built inside. Outside the castle, there were three people, a man and woman holding hands by the door and a young girl reaching out her hands to the falling snow!

The man and woman both had smiles on their faces as they watched the kid play.

This was a very special thing for Chen Mumu. Her father, Chen Mu Rong was the one who had given it to her when she was still a child. He said that if he ever found someone she loved then she would put it in their possession and they would keep it well!

When she was still dating Jiang Lei, she had given it to him as a sign of her love. Seeing him holding it now, she felt an overwhelming emotion come over her!

"Give that back!"

Jiang Lei laughed, "If you want it back, meet me at The Grand Horizon in ten minutes!"

With that, he sped away!

Chen Mumu ground her teeth in anger. She did not like seeing Jiang Lei because of how unreasonable he was sometimes. She could not believe that this was the type of person she had been dating for such a long time!

She needed that snow globe back so she had to follow that idiot.

The Grand Horizon was a hotel in the middle of the city. The owner was anonymous but it was one of the six-star hotels in the country. It was just as grand as its name.

When they were still young, Jiang Lei had promised to take Chen Mumu there but he never did.

It was quite ironic that he wanted them to meet there only after they had broken up!

Chen Mumu angrily hailed a taxi and asked the man to speed to the place.

Jiang Lei was already inside by the time Chen Mumu got there. He had chosen a secluded place probably because he did not want anyone here to notice him. Chen Mumu walked over and slammed her bag on the table before sitting down, "What the hell do you want from me?"

Jiang Lei smirked after seeing that his plan had worked. He also slammed the snow globe on the table and said, "Break up with him."

He was ordering and not asking. Chen Mumu's brows shot up,

"Excuse me?"

Jiang Lei laughed mockingly, "Don't pretend that you did not hear me, I said, you should break up with Xu Jingli right now!'

Chen Mumu laughed in disbelief. He could not believe that this idiot would ask him to do such a thing!

She scoffed, "No way!"

Jiang Lei's gaze was harsh, "Because he has money? I did not think you would be the kind to be with a man because of his money but look at you, you are already jumping from one man to the next like a prostitute!"

Chen Mumu could not believe the audacity Jiang Lei had. He was accusing her of something she obviously did not do and also putting it in such a way that made her look so filthy!

Her hands balled into fists, "I dare you to repeat that once again."

Her tone was eerily calm. Jiang Lei knew this tone very well. He also knew better than to repeat what he just said. His heart raced in fear as he changed his sentence,

"No matter how much you look at it, that man is my boss, many people from the company who came to the engagement party have already started talking behind my back and also behind his back that he stole one of his employees' woman! No matter how much you look at it, it is still not right so you have to break up with him!"

"You want me to break up because it inconveniences you?"
