With Enkai finally somewhat onboard, Naeku smiled bravely and shooed him away with her hands, "Now go! We've already wasted too much time, and father might need your help!"
Despite his earlier, tacit agreement, Enkai nodded reluctantly, before turning to Erik with narrowed eyes. But before he could say anything, Erik grinned and was just a bit faster, "I know, I know. 'Keep her safe or be hunted down,' right? Something along those lines?"
Annoyed, Enkai snorted, "You really are a brat…" Then he growled threateningly, "But yes, that's about the gist of it," before suddenly grinning. "Although I also would have added a warning about not trying to harm her yourself, because she'd simply tear you a new one all on her own."
Erik chuckled and nodded, "I believe you, old man!"
I hope you enjoyed reading :)
