50% Master Pokemon (remasterised) / Chapter 2: Boa

Chapitre 2: Boa

"It's been 5 years since my birth now. I later learned that the mother of this body, basically my mother, passed away after my birth. It's quite sad, even though I didn't really have the time to develop filial feelings towards her. It's genuinely heartbreaking that a mother can't witness her child growing up.

Later on, Boa informed me that my father had also passed away before my birth. It's not a cheerful story, but well, I don't know how he died, and it doesn't really interest me either.

I've been reincarnated into quite a handsome boy. Even though I'm only 5 years old, I have mid-length black hair, violet-colored eyes, and I'm rather slender. It's quite odd to see violet eyes, but you get used to it.

No, what shocked me the most is that I've been reincarnated into the world of Pokemon. I spent most of my free time in my previous life playing Pokemon, even though I didn't compete, I know the subject well. Pokemon in real life is both cuter but also much more dangerous than what the anime shows. Some are genuinely scary.

There's a lot to explore, but I still have much to learn...

"Miro, what are you doing in the barn talking to yourself?"

"Grandma Boa, I wasn't talking to myself, I was talking to... uh, to those Oddish there," I said, pointing at small blue Pokemon with a leaf on their heads, looking at me strangely too.

"That little wild Oddish doesn't understand you, my dear. And I've told you several times not to approach wild Pokemon. Just because mine and those of the villagers are friendly doesn't mean wild ones are too. They've grown up fighting for their survival; they'll harm you if they sense you're a threat." She grabbed me by the pants and carried me as if I were a sack of potatoes. Yeah, it's rather humiliating...

"Sorry, grandma, let me go, please."

How are your Pokemon friendly, anyway.

Grandmother Boa, a nickname I bestowed upon her, is the old lady who witnessed my birth. She must be in her fifties or even sixties, with silver hair adorned with a few black strands. Her eyes boast a pale green hue. One can imagine she was a beautiful woman in her youth, but now, she takes pleasure in humiliating me.

Despite her nasty and impatient character, she shows warmth when necessary and takes very good care of me... but she still has a nasty character. She carried me to a rather modest but neatly arranged and clean little house. In the garden at the back of the house, surrounded by tall hedges, several Pokémon belonging to Grandmother Boa come into view: an always-smiling Arbok, a perpetually irritable Seviper, a sometimes-crazy Drapion, a lazy Toxicroak, an overly affectionate Nidoqueen, and a calm Venusaur.

According to my highly developed instinct, I could understand that Grandmother Boa is a poison specialist. Arbok fixed me with a smile and approached us.

"Arbok," he hissed, throwing me a mocking look, still with an unbearable smile on his face.

"Arbok, you came at the right time. Take him, bring him to his room. He's grounded for the day for disobeying me and leaving the house without permission."

Arbok nodded, and that's what I truly call being scared: being lifted by a powerful Pokémon serpent with its breath blowing on my neck. Even though I know he won't harm me, it's still quite frightening. Moreover, this Arbok is like his mistress, very unreasonable, even if he's kind at heart.

Arbok quickly climbed the stairs of the house, and once in front of a door, he pushed it gently before throwing me to the ground.

"Ouch." I got up with a grimace and glared at Arbok.

"Was it you who snitched on me, huh?" I pointed at him with some resentment.

"SSSS" Arbok nodded and stuck out his tongue to mock me, then he turned around and went down into the garden.

"Aaaaaahhhh, you traitor," I lay on the bed thinking about my situation. I just wanted to go out to get a closer look at the wild Pokémon. I had warned Grandmother's Pokémon so she wouldn't worry in case of a serious situation, but I didn't expect them to rat me out immediately.

Until now, I couldn't leave the house because I was too small. Being in the world of Pokémon is truly exciting and stressful. I got up and quickly started my schoolwork. It's better to know the Pokémon world well. Here, trainers receive a Pokémon at the age of 15, not at 10 as in the anime. It's considered that a 10-year-old hasn't acquired enough theoretical knowledge to embark on Pokémon training.

Moreover, some, attracted by the unknown, decide to challenge gym badges and embark on this adventure, which is also one of the reasons for the age limit. So, I have only 10 years left to discover all that this world can teach me, in addition to what I already know.

--------------------

Now, at the age of 7, and after years of research, aligning my memories of the Pokémon anime with reality, I've gained enough knowledge to embark on my journey. Contrary to my initial belief, the Pokémon adventure begins here at the age of 15, but we receive our first Pokémon at the age of 10. The League grants us 5 years to familiarize ourselves with our Pokémon and train it properly because a strong bond is crucial. Now well-informed, I'm ready to start my adventure, but I need the necessary energy to support it. That's why I'm going to start doing sports, as they say, "a sound mind in a sound body."

I'm currently in a small Pokémon class with only 15 students, including 4 boys and 11 girls. Despite my higher mental maturity, I've formed friendships with some of them. Playing childhood games like tag or boys against girls proves to be truly enjoyable.

Clem, a young boy with short brown hair, considers me his best friend. Although he sees it this way, I feel more like an entertainer trying to connect with a child rather than a true friend.

"MIROOOO!" A childish voice pierces my ears.

"No need to shout, Clem. What do you want?" He hurt my ear, the rascal.

Clem proudly announces that he'll receive a Pokémon from his father tomorrow, claiming it will be much stronger than ours when we get ours. I calm him down by reminding him that his father might not necessarily give him a very powerful Pokémon, and three years are not impossible to catch up on.

"Even though it's hard to admit, I'm a bit upset that this noisy but nice kid has his Pokémon before me. Yeah, I have a somewhat childish attitude, and so what? Who wouldn't want a Pokémon right away once they arrive in this world?"

"Goodbye, sir." "Goodbye, sir." "Goodbye, sir."

"Goodbye, children, be careful on your way back."

Back home, I find my grandmother waiting with a serious look. She has something important to tell me.

"Miro, I have something to tell you." She gives me a look before leading me to the kitchen.

I expect her to discuss my origins. I'm curious to some extent, but not overly so.

"Miro, sit down."

I sit, and she announces, "We're moving."

"Huh?" My face clearly expresses confusion.

"Don't worry about your friends; you'll see them from time to time. We're heading to the nearest village, about a hundred kilometers to the West. It's called Pallet Town." She gets up and starts packing.

Pallet Town? Ash Ketchum's hometown? I've never wondered about the chronology. Wait, didn't she say "not too far"? What do you mean, a hundred kilometers?

"We're leaving right away?" I give her an incredulous look.

"Yes, even if it's nearby, it will take us two or three days to walk." Her voice fades down the hallway.

"WHAT? WALKING? ARE WE GOING TO WALK?" My frustration echoes after her departure. I would have preferred her to talk to me about my parents.
