Then, each and every one of them activated their Dharma Body and gathered before Fa San. They sat in a protective circle around him, ready to face the invader.
Their bodies were effulgent with Buddha's light, signifying their determination to fight the invaders to death.
The dignity of the Buddha should not be insulted, and even if they were to die, they, as children and grandchildren of the Buddha, should uphold the dignity of the Buddha.
Fa San was deeply moved by this scene.
But at the same time, he was filled with sorrow.
Fa San knew that the Ten Thousand Buddhas Sect might not escape disaster today.
Fa San regretted provoking this man before him. Had he not done so, none of these subsequent events would have occurred.
If the Ten Thousand Buddhas Sect perished on this day, it would be all because of him.
