Chapitre 40: Chapter 39 : The Lost Greek God of Fire

"Swerve!"

"Twist!"

"Backhand hammer!"

The flame golem's, one who was made out of pure flame, head was punched through and destroyed easily destroyed. More remaining.

"Axe!"

"Fiddle!"

"Activate!"

The axe arose and as the finger was fiddled in a circular motion, it began to circle around the boy, cutting off the heads of the incoming 4 golems, making them disperse.

"Dodge!"

Another one appeared, making him handspring backwards on one hand.

"Pull!"

He drew his axe to himself, catching it in his grip before landing.

"Slam!"

Upon landing, he struck the ground with his axe, specifically the axe into the ground and multiple waves of lightning, similar to that of a double handed True Thunder, began to flow out into a circle from the place of impact, striking everything in a much farther range than True Thunder and 'killing' all the pure flame created golems.

"You've made good progress." Trix said whilst sitting down on a boulder, tossing him her blade etched in glowing red runes. "Now swordsmanship." she said, clenching her fist and making the fire spread out from her in a multiple curvy lines, making flame golems emerge. "Specifically, elemental sword technique."

Satoru caught the blade, immediately getting into a stance.

[Electrify]

The blade got lightning channeled to it, cloaking it in it, crackling and ready to deliver shocking blows.

[Bolt Barrage]

He swung the blade diagonally. Multiple lightning bolts were launched out from it, making their way and piercing the flame golems, dispersing them. Multiple remaining.

"Remember what I showed you." Trix yelled out to him and he had no idea what she meant "The agility form."

Realizing it with incoming flame golems, he got into the stance once more. Satoru leapt up into the air and began spinning very quickly, being cloaked in what seemed a focused tornado of lightning itself where he was moving, only spiraling around him, remaining in control.

[Charged Fang]

During his time in the air, he forgot what follows next. He landed back onto the ground, having [Electrify] still active and blitzing the flame golems, ending them.

"Swordsmanship is not for me." he said, tossing Trix back her sword and wiping the sweat off his forehead.

She caught the blade and sighed : "It doesn't hurt to know it. And did you forget how to perform Charged Fang?"

"Nah, I wanted to try out Electrify once more." he obviously lied.

Trix faintly chuckled before Satoru took out a potion with an orange elixir and drank it, making his stamina replenish entirely.

"It's time to pay Hephaestus a visit now." he said, throwing the glass onto the grass and taking his cloak back, putting it on.

Trix nodded and they left towards the Crystal Hotel from the forest they were in.

"I appreciate your help, but from this point forward I'll have to go at it alone." Satoru told her, passing by the trees and sensing the monsters around the path, feeling their gaze penetrate.

"I understand." she was reasoning "If the Gods find out about my association with you... Not to mention that I need to be in Olympus tomorrow for something.. Anyway, it was nice meeting and accompanying you."

"You too."

She saw a passing by goblin at the corner of her eye : "If you need help or even just want to talk, I'll most likely be either at Olympus or in the Muspelheim realm if not the Crystal Hotel. And If I ever need any help, I'll be sure to search for you."

"Got it."

"Well then, I'll see you Satoru."

"Goodbye Trix." he performed a sign with his hand and teleported to the kunai placed in the Crystal Hotel, in his room. Now it has 1 more use left.

The snow white haired boy, one whose hair is still growing longer, gathered his things. The hollow's energy jars, potions, his tanto blade, kunai, money and in short, all belongings. He checked out of the hotel and left to.

Satoru left outside of the village and used the bifrost to reach somewhere kinda close to where he can near the coordinates he needs to be at.

"Now to reach those coordinates."

He walked around, believing to be close but nothing significant was around. Not even anything special that he could sense.. Until he got closer.

Following it, Satoru approached there and saw multiple demons standing beside a large earth wall of a mountain. But not just any regular demons, Higher demons. More powerful than regular ones.

On sight, they rushed at him, so the boy grinned and unsheathed his tanto blade, cloaking it in lightning and rushing at them too, quickly cutting them down and killing them, making them disperse into black smoke and fade away.

"That was pretty easy. I must be on the right track."

He sheathed it back and took out his axe, sensing an extremely faint presence behind the large wall. Satoru threw it into the wall and it entirely crumbled down from being way too hollow.

He walked past the rubble of it and entered inside, seeing it all lit up with magic everlasting torches and surrounded by stone.

A chair, made out of stone, similar to a throne was visible and from there was the presence coming, being nullified by the magical torches. In the chair sat a robust and lean guy, younger appearing and wearing short sleeveless tunic. It was Hephaestus who preferred to appear youthful despite being extremely old.

He was tied up with magma chains, same to those Nova used on Satoru. The god's power was dampened but he saw someone enter, someone who wasn't Hades and felt relieved.

Old, dried blood was surrounding him too. Perhaps he was tortured.

"Thank the heavens! Finally, someone has come to free me from this captivity! When I get out of here, I will gut Hades.. No matter what father thinks of it, even if he decides to kill me. I can only picture killing him.." spoke the God.

Satoru approached him and took out his tanto blade.

"You're not getting saved."

The boy slit his wrist and it started to bleed.

"What are you doing?! Release me now boy!" Hephaestus yelled demanding, trying to move but it was no use as he was strapped that tightly.

Satoru sliced open his palm and grabbed Hephaestus' wrist tightly, making the blood combine with one another and a blue glow emit.

"Stop!" the god yelled.

He didn't stop.

The hollow beast was being connected with it's sub-part, on the condition that it's transferred to Satoru himself. The energy grew and grew as they both could sense it leaving Hephaestus' body until finally it was now in the boy's control. He was now a hollow bearer. But why? Just why?

"Even if I lose all the others, this one I still must keep. Only when it's time will I extract it."

Feeling fresh, powered up, Satoru turned his head and saw 2 blades on the wall, hanged and practically calling out to him.

He ignored Hephaestus' curses and left to them.

The Indigo Daggers are a pair of blue daggers with flame-like patterns resembling the hollow beast's powers.

[+ Indigo Daggers]

Satoru sheathed his tanto and moved his in a patter, making the axe fly off his back in front of him and float around hip level height. Up to his head, a multicolored translucent beam opened and he took the daggers off the walls and placed them into the beam which closed afterwards. Effectively storing them into the bifrost itself.

He grabbed his axe and started walking to Hephaestus.

Being annoyed and forming an expression of disgust, he punched through his chest and took out his heart, making the God's eyes widen. He tossed the heart on the ground and crushed it with his foot, afterwards proceeding to take a swing with his axe and cut the god's head clean off his shoulders.

"No hard feelings, but I can't have direct witnesses." he said coldly, staring at his body and beginning to go ahead and leave. Walking out, the magic torches started to burnt out quickly, one after another.

It seems that the spell and they were bound to Hephaestus' life. But it was odd to the boy as to why Hades went this far but ended up doing nothing with Hephaestus. Just what was his end goal then, and what was the point of 'removing' him and making him go missing for 200 years. A lot of questions it arose, none of which were answered.

So he stopped walking.

Satoru turned back and went inside to check as he was curious. He noticed a wooden table in the corner and went to it. Books, papers and what seemed notes were there. They seemed something ordinary, but there was a specific note written and signed by Hephaestus, perfectly preserved.

"The Indigo Transfer"

"The blades of the hollow, graced in the blood of one and thy,

A power transfer imminent, as the stars begin to cry.

From the depths of the abyss, where the lost souls often sigh,

To the realm of the living, where the flames of courage fly,

The essence of the fallen, in the blades shall never die,

For in the dance of destiny, their fates are intertwined."

- Hephaestus

Satoru looked at it, wondering if it was a poem rhyme or a spell, but couldn't figure it out. Instead, he checked the other notes and checked the books for hidden ones but nothing.

His question remained unanswered so he decided to leave. After all, the rank up exams were reinstated soon all over the nations due to the conflict being over.
