Chapitre 14: Chapter 13 : The God of Dimensions

With 6 hours passing, making it now about 4pm, the S rank mission squad returned back to the village upon completing the assignment. They were all quite bruised and cut up so first thing's first, they went to the hospital to receive the healing elixirs which acted quickly.

"If we had Satoru with us, it'd definitely be much easier." commented Zankoku.

Kazumi and Jinn agreed alongside Aza and Nova as the their team had began leaving someplace, most likely to get some rest.

Turning their heads, Nova and Zankoku saw Satoru walk into the village with his hands in pockets and him being zoned out.

"Yo Satoru!" yelled out Nova to him, catching his attention and making him walk over to them where he greeted them.

"Satoru man, you won't believe what happened!" began Zankoku saying, basically jumping out of excitement. "Kazumi, Jinn, Aza, Nova and I fought a mutated huge as fuck basilisk and won! I do got to admit though.. It was tricky finding it but we did it and it was an S rank mission!" he jumped more out of excitement

Satoru nodded his head and told him : "That's great. Good job."

Inserting himself into the conversation, Nova asked Satoru : "So did you find anything?" to which Satoru nodded, making Nova ask him to tell them.

They began walking through the village streets while the white haired boy told them what he had uncovered during his research the last few days.

"There's a white thunder shard. Now from what I found out.. Thor was originally in the possession of it but was forced to give it up by Odin because he feared that Thor will become powerful enough to overthrow him." he took a breath before continuing

"So he gave it to Janus, The God of Dimensions. And it just so happens that his alleged location is in Ember nation, at a specific place." he said, implying something that both of them understood.

Telling Satoru to lead the way, they followed him to the coordinates of the supposed location of the god.

Upon arriving there, they saw someone that fit Janus' description. It wasn't hard not to notice a guy with two heads....

Janus gazed at them and saw Satoru, specifically his mark and grinned with the face that was facing them.

"I see... So Karoi found a way to bring it back? No... This isn't the one that we removed..." he said, wondering and leaving the boys wonder too. "I understand now... You are responsible for killing Thor and Hades." he said, unsheathing a large blade.

Satoru took a step forward, taking the axe off his back and spoke back to the God.

With the mountains surrounding them and the water below them, they had been isolated from everything. The atmosphere changed as the clouds above them began to warp from the puffy white ones to the dark black ones with thunder sparks slightly sparking from them.

One would think that this was Janus' doing but in reality, it was Satoru's.

"Give us the white shard." demanded the white haired boy, with his eyes locking onto Janus entirely.

Bursting into laughter, Janus found it funny that a mere child is demanding something from him with the expectancy that he could defeat him.

The Storm Cloak quickly formed around Satoru and as quick as the lightning flickered, he vanished from his position and appeared up in the sky throwing his axe right at Janus yet he swerved and evaded it.

The lightning didn't strike the axe, so Satoru dropped down back onto the water and rushed at Janus, clashing arms with him.

Right as he did, a smaller head sized portal appeared on the right side of the god of dimensions as he punched with his left hand inside of it, with a portal appearing right behind Satoru's head, going to strike him.

Using this opportunity, Nova was able to react to it and with his sword performed an upwards crescent slash with his blade cloaked in flames, cutting off his hand before impact with Satoru's head.

The hand fell onto the water, immediately sinking and blood splattering onto the water as well.

Janus was in pain but tolerated it very well. He opened a portal below himself effortlessly and without any signs, falling inside of it and appearing above Nova, going to swing his blade to bisect his head.

The blade had impact but Nova had substituted with a red demon that took the blow for him.

"As expected." said Janus now smirking.

Before he could even land onto the ground, Satoru fired Thunder Circus at him but a portal was opened, having his ability launched inside of it and another portal opening from behind him once more.

Expecting it, he backflipped over it and while in the air, performing a sign with his hand that made Thunder Circus speed up and connect to Janus' mid section, scorching it and making small bursts of blood drop from it.

He quietly winced and as he thought about retreating, Nova used his tree manipulation and a large tree, from beneath the fucking water, catapulted him up into the air.

"Now." said Nova, facing Satoru.

He nodded and got into a squat position, explosively launching himself up to into the air where Janus was, which was about 140meters up in the sky.

Satoru immediately placed his palm at him and fired a lightning beam towards him, with him easily opening a portal and redirecting it at a mountain.

Instantly, with his other hand he threw 3 white thunder senbon at him whilst they were now falling. They quickly traversed to him, and he thought they had entered the portal but...

From above him, which he saw quickly yet couldn't react, was Satoru. Before he could open a portal for him to fall down out of or below himself to save himself, the white haired boy down slammed the god with his forearms, sending him flying down into the direction of the water.

Thankfully, he was able to catch himself by opening a portal below himself and emerging out from it. Instantly, he saw Nova throw a kunai at him assuming that it's a teleportation kunai.

He got ready to now deflect it, but to grab Nova by the throat and instantly crush it. As the kunai got closer and swerved towards him, he deflected it with a backhand slap and made it stop, going to fall into the water.

Observing the boy that killed Hades, he saw his eyes widen and assumed that he's teleporting now, even forming a grin since it's been a while since he's fought the other Gods, no matter who they are.

Nova's face turned into a grin as the battlefield became anticlimactic, making Janus stop grinning and squint his eyes to see what he's doing but... Out from the kunai, unexpectedly appeared Zankoku who had supercharged Wind Vortex and hit Janus in his oblique, sending him flying.

It seems that while Satoru was distractingly fighting Janus in the air, Zankoku tossed one of his kunai to Nova whilst charging his ability.

As he was sent flying, he was able to slow himself down and eventually stop by scraping against the water whilst sliding. Being on one knee, he went to get up but a large fireball was sent at him, with him going to expand the portal to redistribute it elsewhere.

Successfully doing so, he felt that he couldn't exactly move the best.

Janus' vision was cleared and he saw Satoru rushing at him, going to strike him in the face but he easily moved to the left and cut the boy's head off with his blade, forcing the body to poof into a small white smoke.

Realizing it was a scam, he turned around quickly to see a large wave of hellfire about to hit him. He went to make a portal to redirect it, and even though it was large enough to do it... The hellflame broke the essence of the portal itself and began burning Janus severely.

Despite not possessing healing capabilities, he was durable. Being able to tank the hellflame wave, he thought it was over and wanted to go make a portal to escape but heard the final words that completed the chant...

"Relampago"

"Ahora"

"Welga"

Satoru's chant began back at the black cloud in the air with the thunder sparks. Relampago initiated the black clouds at the expense of 20% of his energy, followed by Ahora which also took 20% of his energy and made the thunder sparks be visible from the dark clouds.

And Welga...

Since Janus was unable to move in time, Satoru was able to concoct and charge up a thunder strike which he had to figure out himself, due to not being given the information on his abilities like how Nova was..

So with that being said, when he said "Welga", a bolt of thunder struck Janus and left him on the water, being barely able to move at all at the cost of 30% of Satoru's energy, totaling 70% from all 3 chants.

As he went to form a portal with a little bit of essence to escape and try warn Zeus, Zankoku appeared above him and performed a couple of signs, forcing wind cutters at his neck but they didn't kill him. "Wait!" yelled Nova, as Zankoku hit him with Wind Vortex in the head and destroyed it entirely with his brain pieces falling out and blood with it.

Satoru and Nova approached the body and since there's nothing there could be done now..

"You realize what this means now... A God has fallen so something is in jeopardy." said Nova, while still watching the body.

Zankoku looked at the body and at Nova. "Sorry... I got too carried away." he said.

"It's fine. But since you dealt the final blow, now you are faced with the decision of becoming the new God of Dimensions, Zan." said Nova in a comforting tone.

He thought about it for a second and asked them how long does he have until the circumstances begin occurring and they told him that he has 30 minutes. Not wanting to become it, specifically of 'dimensions', he declined.

"So what do I do.." asked Zankoku.

Satoru sighed and looked at the energy that already began automatically being absorbed by Zankoku without his consent. "You can transfer it." said Satoru, turning to Nova.

"What, to me?" he asked and nodded his head while slightly smiling. "Alright, fine."

Zankoku and Nova placed their hand out in a handshake and closed their eyes, with the energy of Janus, traversing from Zankoku to Nova, ultimately transferring 'the blame' of killing the God to him and him taking the fault, obtaining the energy to not face the circumstances.

It was complete with literal visual energy pouring out of Zankoku's body and the energy from Janus' body being absorbed into Nova's.

Satoru picked up the shard from Janus' body and placed it in his pocket, calling his axe to his hand too and putting it onto his back once more.

[Satoru energy : 22%]

Taking something out of his pocket, he took out a stim shot that contained green liquid inside of it that sparkled. With his right arm he stimmed him left arm and shot out the liquid, injecting it inside of his body.

During his research he found a way to retrieve his energy back quickly with a complicated mixture and sets of herbs and plants, alongside a 1% fragment of his own energy.

[Satoru energy : 22% >>> 72%]

"Yo guys, It's been like 5 days since our last 1v1v1 and I'm kinda eager for a rematch. After that we can uncover more secrets about the white shard" said Nova, with hopes that he can this time win.

Zankoku looked at the sky that was now cleared as the dark cloud was no longer and only the white puffy ones were, cracked his neck and exclaimed : "I'm down!"

Satoru looked at them both and shrugged, thinking how they'll uncover it later, and agreed with all of them traveling to the opening in the forest outside of Ember village, where they battled the first time around.
