Chapitre 28: CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT

I keep mute, staring into her eyes, so far and lost.

"My lady?" She pulls me back to reality.

I open my mouth to speak, to send her away and be all by myself, but I can't summon the willpower. I close it and then again open it...

"My lady?"

I raise a hand to stop her. The images of dead Linda, my late parents, and Hendrix lying hurt and gory scenes play before me. Gradually, I'm losing myself and I can feel it.

My head is light, my vision blurs in minutes, and so is the consistent sapping of my energy as the clock ticks.

The taste of bile rising up in my throat and threatening chaos, my skin a lot itchy. I try to advance towards Sasha, as I gently slip into unconsciousness, but before I accomplish my mission, my legs give way and I collapse on the ground with a loud thud.

"My lady..." Her voice grows faint in seconds.
