Chapitre 43: Chapter Forty-three

Ariana felt a wave of nausea wash over her as she lay on the bed in Gabriel's pack house. She had been feeling unwell for the past few days, ever since the night of the sanguis ritual. She had no idea what had happened that night, only that she had felt a strange force take over her body and mind, and she had uttered words that she did not understand. She had somehow interfered with the ritual that Robert and his allies had performed.

She did not know what the consequences of her actions were, but she had a feeling that they were not good. She kept this experience to herself and told no one about it, not even Gabriel, afraid that he would think that she was crazy, or worse, that she was somehow involved in some evil.

At least she still needed to make sure that Gabriel trusted her, even if it meant faking it. She had run away from Ethan and his pack and sought refuge with Gabriel, even though she had not officially accepted him yet.
