Ariana, eyes ablaze with determination as she sprinted towards Ethan, leaves crunching beneath her boots. She couldn't let him face them alone. As she came closer, she could see Ethan, his back against a large oak tree, surrounded by his enemies.

"No one hurts him! Not while I'm here."

"What's this? A little breeder trying to play savior?" One of Robert's warriors asked sarcastically, and they all laughed.

Ariana retorted with a steely determination. "Call me what you want. But you'll regret underestimating me."

Ethan's lips curved into a grateful smile, admiration shining in his eyes. He gripped his sword tightly.
