Lily's mouth went dry. The soju she had just drank began to slosh in her stomach as her neck turned red. Ethan observed her before continuing.
"If you don't want to turn out like your father, don't appear in front of me again. This is a warning."
"...Did you come all the way here just to say that?"
"Does it sound like I'm joking right now?"
He twirled the empty soju bottle in his hand as his eyes gleamed. She knew that Ethan was being sincere. She was probably not the only one who could feel the murderous aura oozing out of Ethan's entire body. The motel owner who had obediently opened her room for him had also probably noticed it.
"No. I can feel it. Your sincerity."
"I'm glad you understand."
Ethan smoked his cigarette and held it between his teeth. Just like he did when he was with Doyoon. He stared into her eyes as he breathed out the smoke. Lily could feel her heartbeats grow louder and louder.
