Chapitre 32: I'm not cursed, I'm stressed

She felt too weak to get out of bed once Lyov laid her down in it. Phoenix fussed over her.

No matter what she did, her head still pounded, but she wasn't getting worse.

Only, her visions kept returning to the moment she read those 'curses', as her stat display called them.

When her head would quieten, the world would shift before her. The palace faded into...darkness. Into emptiness.

She floated in a void. She was naked, vulnerable.

And Errol stood before her, a wide, wicked, disturbing smile stretched across his face, revealing a row of razor sharp teeth.

"Ha! Look at you..." He sneered at her mockingly. "Pathetic little girl, playing Empress...hahahahahaha!"

A vicious giggle erupted from the man, filling her ears with the sound of evil itself.

"I know who you are!" He pointed at her. "I can see! My eyes can see your true face!"

His eyes flared with intense malice, making her tremble with fear.
