Chapitre 3: Zhongli = Morax?
Upon hearing my question both Zhongli and Childe seemed to be shocked, they looked at each other and then back to me. Zhongli's expression returned to normal quite quickly as if he had accepted I found out already but Childe was still shocked.
"Judging from your reactions I am correct?" I asked even though I was one hundred percent sure Zhongli was Morax.
"You're correct, and you're quite observant may I ask what gave it away?" Childe will still frozen in a state of shock, me and Zhongli just ignored him and continued our conversation.
"well for one... definitely your eyes, they are eyes which have seen death many times. They also radiate an inhumane power. I guess your clothes as well they are somewhat behind this time." The whole time I spoke Zhongli listened carefully not once breaking eye contact with me, his eyes truly don't change...
"Anything else? I can tell that it wasn't just my eyes and clothes which gave me away." I grinned slightly.
"you're right there was more. Another reason was because of all your knowledge. Childe has told me many 'tales' of your intelligence and wisdom. I figured someone with so much wisdom can't be so young. Oh and your physical form may be in its twenties but you still act like a fossil..."
"Well fair enough I guess." He is very accepting of me finding out his identity as an Archon... Kinda boring.
"Well, I guess you won't want me telling anyone your secret." I grinned mischievously.
"yes, I would appreciate if you can keep my identity a secret."
"hehe, don't worry secrets safe with me old man."
After we finished talking Childe finally seemed to unfreeze and begun to just eat hid food silently. I wonder what he is so shocked for, did he think I was stupid?
"Childe, I'm offended you got so shocked. Did you think I was stupid?" I asked as i once again grinned mischievously.
"U-Uhm no its not that... I didn't think you were stupid but I didn't think you were this perceptive either..."
"So you underestimated me...?"
Childe just stayed silent and looked away as he continued to eat his food.
"Go on, admit it childe you underestimated me" I laughed evilly as I got closer to Childe. As I was bully Childe I heard Zhongli begin to laugh.
Both me and Childe look at Zhongli confused on why he is laughing.
"what's funny, old man?" I asked as I narrowed my eyes at him. Childe also narrowed his eyes but didn't say anything, probably because I said what he was thinking.
"it's nothing really. Its just you found out I was an Archon, treat it as nothing and begin to tease Childe for underestimating your intelligence."
"well of course I'm gonna tease him, he thought I was stupid"
"it's just most people would get serious after finding out they are eating dinner with an Archon, you harbingers and the Traveller sure are different."
"Traveller? The same one the story teller mentioned?" I asked genuinely curious the way Zhongli worded his sentence made it seem like tje Traveller knew his identity as well.
"Yes it is the same Traveller—" before Zhongli could continue he was cut off by Childe who seemed to instantly get a massive boost of enthusiasm as the mention of the Traveller.
"Let me explain, Zhongli. The Traveller also know as Lumine is a Traveller." He seemed proud for some reason. Both Zhongli and I deadpanned.
"I think that is a bit obvious Childe, the only knew information I got was gender and name..."
"Wait, I didn't get explain more.. The Travellers goal is to Travel to all the seven nations and meet the Archons in hopes she can find information about her brother.."
"But why would The Archons have information on The Travellers brother."
"I believe it is due to the fact the travellers Kin was taken by an unknown god."
(A/N) I cannot remember if Zhongli new this but let's just roll with it
"An Unkown God?" Childe and I said in unison.
"That's new to me" Childe spoke and he seemed.. Jealous?
"Did you tell her anything about the Unknown God? Zhongli?" Childe asked an I waited for an answer also intrigued.
"I am under a contract so if I do know anything I cannot say." Well that sucks it must be some God in celestia then. Why would Zhongli be on a contract though. Something to do with Khaenri'ah?
"Well in any case this Traveller seems interesting, do you know which nation she will visit next?" I asked both Childe and Zhongli.
"Fontaine, I believe" Zhongli answered.
"hey I was planning on going their in 2 months for some personal business.
"I guess I will be meeting her again soon. Maybe she will fight me." Childe seemed a lot more excited, is there no limit to his energy...
"Anyway you two, why don't you head into an Inn, its getting quite late." Zhongli said as he looked towards the moon which had begun to rise high into the night sky.
"True, we wouldn't want to sleep on the streets because we came to late and all the rooms were booked"
"Aw, but I don't wanna say goodbye to Mr. Zhongli..." I deadpanned once again
"we are going to be in Liyue for 3 weeks you have plenty of time to spend with him later..."
"No! I don't wanna go yet!" 'I don't think I saw Childe drink a lot of osmanthus wine?' I thought as I began dragging him towards the nearest 'nice' Inn.
"Goodbye Zhongli" I said as I continued dragging Childe away.
Eventually, Childe had given up on resisting and I had been able to drag him to the Inn albeit with lots of strange looks from the civilians of Liyue.
"Alright, Childe, Get up you're paying. For two rooms" I made sure to specify two rooms because there was no way in hell I was sharing with him.
"ugh why do I have to pay" he spoke visibly annoyed.
"Well for one your rich, and two you invited me to Liyue. So, you have to pay for me."
He just walked to receptionist with an annoyed look.
"Relax or she won't wanna give us rooms"
He looked back at me and narrowed his eyes as if saying threatening me with a fight, but I wouldn't give in and fight him... he would enjoy it.
He came back about 5 minutes later carrying to room keys, he throw one towards me which I caught. I then read the number on the key.
"I'm this way.", I pointed to a corridor on my left.
"I'm that way" he pointed to a corridor on my right.
We then both nodded at each other and walked towards our respective rooms. The walk down the corridor wasn't that long as the Inn was quite small. I looked at the doors and their numbers until I finally arrived at my room.
I walked into the room and saw a double bed next to a window with a bedside table. I also noticed the floor was carpeted which made would make it nice and warm for walking around without shoes. There was a bathroom with all the necessities bug no kitchen. I suppose their must be an eating area elsewhere inside the Inn. I also noticed there was a wardrobe where I begin to put my clothes and things.
After inspecting my room and putting my clothes away. I began to take of my clothes. Once I was completely naked I grabbed a towel and walked into the bathroom where I begun to take a comforting, but hot, shower. I was in the shower for about 30 minutes since it was a pain to wash my long hair. I have thought about cutting it but I decided against it.
When I was finally done in the shower, I stepped out of it while grabbing my towel. I then begun to dry myself in the bathroom. Once I was done drying my body I put on some clothes to cover my body and left the bathroom.
I opened my wardrobe and grabbed another towel to dry my hair. I didn't have a hair dryer so I just had to let the towel slowly dry it, which would probably take an hour...
I decided while my hair was still wet I would brush through it to get all the knots out. When I was done brushing my hair I had deemed it dry enough and got into bed to fall asleep.

About 8 hours later, Noctis
I woke up once again to someone banging my door down...
"I am awake Childe relax" I throw the covers off of me and groggily stand up to open the door. Upon opening the door I see Childe smiling directly at me.
"you're awake well done comrade."
"Tease me and I kill you, I'm too tired to deal with it fight now.." He just laughed in response.
"Alright then comrade, what should we do today..." why is he asking me I know nothing about Liyue.
"I've never been here idiot, I don't know what to do."
"Well, Fair enough I guess" I basically fell to the ground after hearing his response.
"You got any ideas on what we should do."
"Well, are you hungry for breakfast?"
"No not really, I ate just before you came actually" Childe seemed confused but didn't push any further.
"If you say so..." He then paused as if pondering what we should do today.
"Maybe-" I cut him off before he could even begin to continue.
"Nope, I am not fighting you" he is eyebrows furrowed in confusion.
"B-But how did you know..?" is he serious?
"it's obvious I could tell from the enthusiasm in your tone when you began to speak." He looked at me with a pouting face.
"Fine! Why don't we go speak to Hu Tao we only really asked her where Mr. Zhongli is." To be fair he's right for once, something about that girl seemed lonely as if he happiness was a facade, I wonder what happened in her past, she is quite young.
"Alright I don't see a problem in that." Childe's eyes widen and his mouth dropped to the floor.
"Why are you so shocked!?" I said getting slightly angry at him
"you actually approve of one of my ideas, am I dreaming. Pinch me." I took a deep breath and was able to prevent myself from punching him in the face, for now.
"ugh whatever, wait here I won't be long" I shut my rooms door on his face.
I grabbed a hair band and used it to tie my long long into a pony tail, so I would stop getting in mg eyes. I preferred my hair down but this was just easier, for now.
I then open my door again and he seems to stare at me for a second. He began scanning my face and hair. I waited for a while letting his slow brain try and figure out the extremely obvious difference in my appearance.
"did something about you change?"
"If you seriously can't notice such an obvious change in my appearance, you're seriously fucked if you want a girlfriend."
"Eh? But what if I like men?" he replied tryna be smart.
"No matter what gender you like they will think your an Idiot if you can't notice such a change."
"Did anything about you even change though?"
"your actually such an idiot..."
"Yeah, Yeah, whatever let's just get going" he said as he begun walking away from me and towards the exit of the Inn.
I just sighed and followed behind him. How can Zhongli consider someone with such a lack of intelligence a friend. No, how do I consider such an Idiot a friend? I guess it has to do with pity? Am I only his friend because I pity him, or is it that he has made me soft?
