Chapitre 26: Boiling point

Prince Samir's brow twitched with irritation as he listened to the audio feed from Nazmi's collar. She and Caelus had just shared their 'secrets' with one another. They were having a very heart-warming exchange in the library.

Why did she care so much about meeting another fae being? There were plenty in the world, even if earthen nymphs were gone. As far as Samir was aware, the sylph population was growing all the time. Beyond that, nearly all other subspecies of fae were alive and well.

Was it really so surprising? Where the hell could she even be from that was so secluded she had never ran onto another?

To make it all worse, she was a sobbing mess in the arms of his obnoxious, scrawny, big-mouthed scholar.

"Fucking annoying," he muttered under his breath.

Rasne, who had been attempting to debrief Samir on their findings, gave up halfway through his sentence. He put down his notes and sighed.

"What is it now, Samir?"
