Old friends

She swallowed after putting the spoonful of soup back in her plate. Sitting in front of him was already uncomfortable after what happened the other night but what with his gaze that followed her little movement as if a child staring a squirrel for the first time in his life.

"Why did you stop?" he asked, his expressionless face making hard for Lydia to understand his intentions.

'And you got the audacity to ask? Really, it's because of you!' she let out a sigh after screaming inside her head and finally spoke, "Umm… do my face have something on it?"

"Mystery." He replied calmly getting badly on her nerve. Lydia pressed her forehead looking down and biting her lips in annoyance.
