Upon hearing Muria's urging, Bernard looked around. All of the servants in the dining room were staring at him, suspecting that something was wrong. Their master seemed to be in conflict with this mysterious guest, Mr. Muria. The normally regal Dragon Knight was now on the receiving end of the conflict.
However, Bernard didn't pay any attention to the servants' gazes but instead looked at the old man, who had followed him from the very beginning of his rise to power. The old man observed him with concern, filled with worry for him.
Noticing the old man's gaze, Bernard felt a pang of guilt in his heart. In his haste to retreat, he had abandoned the old man to keep Muria off his scent. Now, his choice seemed laughable.
Now, driven into a corner, Bernard had to rely on Muria, and once again meet this old man. He felt a twinge of guilt, but the old man didn't seem to mind and was instead worried for his safety.
