Drew dialed Dr. Cidric's number, knowing he could count on his friend for help. Dr. Cidric, a forty-year-old orthopedic doctor and Drew's dear friend, answered the call with his deep baritone voice.

"Hello, my little Drew," Dr. Cidric's jolly voice greeted him. Drew inwardly cringed at the nickname, feeling annoyed by it despite knowing it was meant affectionately.

"Cut it out! That's not cool. Can you please take a vacation right now? I'll cover for you," Drew said, getting straight to the point.

Dr. Cidric's brows furrowed in confusion. "Why are you asking me to take a vacation in the middle of my work? Are you firing me, Mr. President?" he asked, puzzled.

"No, of course not. I just think you're doing a great job and deserve a break. So, are you declining my offer?" Drew replied, trying to sound casual despite the urgency in his tone.
