Chapitre 14: TROUBLE III: Trapped In Centuries-Long Slumber

After the explosion;

"Jun Gang, we need to leave, now." Lin Wang hurriedly said in a panicked voice, urging his brother.

"Let's go."

The duo apparated to the underground bathroom of the ice cream parlor where the explosion took place, and couldn't help but gasp in horror when they caught sight of Yuri lying lifeless on the floor.

"Yuri!" They both screamed and ran towards Yuri, then squatted down to examine their junior.

"Still breathing." Jun Gang sighed out in relief after checking for a pulse.

"Let's get him out of here."

Lin Wang gathered Yuri in his arms and they once again apparated back to the dormitory.

"What in hell's name happened?!" Lin Feng hysterically screamed as he took large strides towards his brothers who were sitting in the common room, with Li Wang trying to heal Yuri's injuries.

"Ramses happened." Jun Gang spat out, clenching his fists in anger.

"He was about to send his army to earth, Yuri happened to be there." Li Wang solemnly said, his concentration not breaking from Yuri's pale face.

"Bastard." Lin Feng seethes.

"Not his fault, he had no idea that Yuri would be there." Li Wang reasons, his voice still as soft as before and his concentration on Yuri, unwavering.

"Do not take his side, Li Wang." Jun Gang gritted out in an agitated tone.

"I am not taking sides, fool." Li Wang retorts, albeit calmly.

"All done, we just have to wait till he wakes." Li Wang announces, drawing his hand away from Yuri's forehead.

"I will lay him in his room." Lin Feng leaned down to scoop Yuri in his arm, then off to the latter's room.

"He will be okay." Li Wang asserts and places a reassuring hand on Jun Gang's shoulder.

Jun Gang gave Li Wang a short nod in acknowledgment, then stood up to also leave the room.

Li Wang releases an exasperated sigh with a shake of his head, muttering lowly;

"Ramses, what have you done?"

"Lucifer." Zhang Wei, or rather, Andreas muttered in greeting.

"How is he?" Zhang Wei asked, facing his brothers.

"He is resting in his room, older brother." Lin Feng answers with a short bow.

"Send a message to Bacchus and Jason, tell them to return immediately." Zhang Wei ordered in a bored tone, ignoring Lin Feng's shocked expression.

"Y-Yes, older brother." Lin Feng stutters, scrambling to his feet, then leaves the room.

"So scary," Bruno whispers, feigning a scared voice and fake shudders.

"Leonidas." Zhang Wei called out dryly.

"Yes, brother," Bruno answers a bit too enthusiastically, straightening his back.

"How are you?" Zhang Wei asked, his eyes scanning Bruno for any visible injuries.

Hearing the question, Bruno's tongue grew heavy, finding it hard to answer the simple question as he felt a thick lump in his throat; knowing he was about to cry, again. Seeing this, Zhang Wei quickly strides towards his younger brother who is sitting in his other mate's lap, then squats to hold Bruno's hands in his larger ones.

"Are you hurt anywhere?" Zhang Wei asks, his nonchalant features changing to a worried one.

"N-No," Bruno hiccups as lone tears escape his eyes, making Zhang Wei's eyes grow softer.

"He is going to be alright, okay?" Zhang Wei assured, then stood up to look at Lucifer.

"I will take you to him."

Zhang Wei along with Lucifer and his mates stepped into the large space of Yuri's room with Samantha trailing behind the group. When they all got in, Samantha shut the door with a quiet click and Bruno scrambled towards his pale junior.

"Wow, Bruno, he is pretty." Samantha had an awestruck expression on his face, earning a proud smile from Bruno.

"Yes, so beautiful." Bruno agreed, obvious adoration dripping from his voice with a wide smile plastered on his face as he took Yuri's smaller hand in his.

"Luci, see, my younger brother- what is wrong?" Bruno asked in an alarmed voice, staring at Lucifer with a confused expression.

"Lucifer?" Samantha called out, feeling uneasy by his mate's sudden change in aura.

Hearing his mate's call for him, Lucifer snapped out of his sudden trance.

"What is the matter?" Bruno and Samantha simultaneously asks, similar worried expressions on their faces.

"Nothing," Lucifer mutters.

"What is it?" Zhang Wei asked, sensing that something was off with how Lucifer froze for a minute there.

"Your brother." Lucifer vaguely uttered, a thoughtful expression etched on his face.

"Yes?" Bruno impatiently asked.

"Was he always like this, did you feel any change of energy from him when you first found him?" Lucifer asked.

"No, he felt the same, just that his magic appeared to be sealed deep within him," Bruno answers, which Zhang Wei supports with a nod.

"He had always been like this, then," Lucifer mumbles in thought.

"So what, Lucifer?" Samantha impatiently asks, getting frustrated with Lucifer's stalling.

"Your brother is not waking up anytime soon, Andreas," Lucifer revealed, making Zhang Wei and Bruno visibly freeze.

"W-Why?" Bruno questions in a shaky voice, his eyes desperately searching Lucifer's.

"He came in contact with an opposing energy when he still had his magic sealed resulting in its abrupt awakening, his body is trying to adapt to it; therefore taking a quick sleep to accommodate such a vast amount of energy in him." Lucifer slowly explained for the sake of his confused mates and immediately wrapped his arms around them when he sensed growing distress from them.

"How long will this quick sleep take?" Zhang Wei hesitantly asked.

Samantha and Bruno released their bodies from their mate's hold to peer up at him with questions in their gazes.

"Just a few centuries, five at most." Lucifer simply stated as if it was a small feat.

"F-Five hundred years?" Bruno stutters with widened teary eyes, mirroring Samantha's facial expression.

Zhang Wei just had a tense expression on his face.

"Yes, love," Lucifer answers, looking down at his mate with a soft expression on his face.

A tense silence blankets the room with each person lost in their thoughts, but the silence is broken by Lucifer's deep voice;

"There is a solution," Lucifer said, his tone and body language hesitant.

All eyes snapped to the Devil in anticipation.

"Which is?" Bruno asked, hope gleaming in his purple orbs.

"Never mind, it's nothing." Lucifer dismissively mutters, turning to look away from his mates.

"Lucifer." Samantha sternly called out.

Lucifer reluctantly turned to look at Samantha with a wry smile on his face.

"Spill it," Samantha demands, looking up at Lucifer with daring eyes.

"Now," Samantha demands again after receiving no response from his mate.

"Fine. If only glares could kill." Lucifer grumbles under his breath.

"Speak," Bruno weakly pleads, urging Lucifer to speak up.

"His magic can be re-sealed, therefore nullifying his beauty sleep," Lucifer grumbles throughout his short speech.

"How?" Bruno asked with hopeful eyes, dissolving Lucifer's stubborn resolve.

"A powerful mage or sorcerer who wields light magic can easily pull it off," Lucifer answered.

"I will do it." Bruno asserts in a determined voice.

"I dare you, I dare you, Bruno," Lucifer warned in disapproval, squinting his eyes to glare at Bruno.

"But-"

"No, it's final, you will not attempt suicide, not on my watch." Lucifer counters, displeased with his mate's intentions.

"It is over a century years old deserted energy, it will completely wear you out, if not take all your energy and magic, killing you in the process." Lucifer gritted out with squinted eyes aimed at a now squirming Bruno.

"What are we to do then?" Samantha worriedly asks.
