"We will let the gods fight for us," Safiya whispered when she heard them beginning to panic. She went ahead, whispering the same thing, not minding that the demon was nearby.

"He is getting close," Amara whispered, staring back at Jelani who was walking up to them with a sinister smile, his eyes narrowed and the smoke swirling ten times wider around him.

"Do not lose your focus," Safiya yelled. "The gods will come to our aid." And so, the group no longer panicked. Following what Safiya said, they stared at the glowing tree, whispering for the gods to come to their aid.

"The nerve of these humans," Jelani muttered in his demon form. "Do you think you can defeat me? I have sent my powers to your world, and every person will be destroyed by the time I'm done with you." He continued walking towards them. "Your world will be filled with darkness, and every person will bow to my feet."
