"Let me," Dede said slowly as he noticed the discomfort on Meka's face while she tried to untie the knot of her skirt.

They had stopped to rest at a little hut they came across, and the owner of the house had only agreed for them to stay after they placed a large amount of cowries in his hand. He had given them a room, saying it was the only one available.

Meka's eyes widened upon hearing Dede's words. She had told him to close his eyes as she was about to change, but this cloth was hard to take off. No matter how tightly she tied it, it just wouldn't budge.
