"Retrieve the corner of the moon from Mount Tianzhu and Feilai Peak, then find a secure place to bury it, dig it up later, assemble the Moon Gate, and afterward, face the counterattack of the Atlanteans!"
That appeared to be the simple task at hand.
Seeing Ishida Hideko nod in agreement, Shen Yue knew the task was anything but simple. "I have a few questions."
"Fire away," Ishida Hideko said with a hint of a smile.
"Can't I just bring the corner of the moon back with me?" Shen Yue wondered aloud, "After all, I'm capable of going back in time."
Ishida Hideko shook her head. "You can't!"
"Why not?" Shen Yue slightly raised an eyebrow, pondering inwardly whether this was a one-way trip with no return.
Ishida Hideko explained, "I'm using the Moon Gate to send you through time and to bring you back. If you return with the corner of the moon, it's like inserting a recursive function into itself; within the flow of time, it's very likely to cause a loop."
