Chapitre 75: Chapter 75

(Good news and bad news.

Bad news:laptop is currently broken and won't be fixed till at least tomorrow evening at the earliest.

Good news: I'm stubborn as fuck so I'm gonna keep writing, even if on my phone and it takes me twice as long to write chapters and double check info. But once again, I'm stubborn. So I'm releasing not only this but another tonight! And let me know of any spelling errors. Might be a few.)

The Phantom landed in the Yautja's private spaceport on Coruscant. Talon and Kroq were already outside and ready to meet them.

"Master!" They greeted while following behind him. Jial, Nott, and the duo boarded a hover car that took them 80 kilometers to the Senate Building while a car containing Nott's Acolytes was following close behind.

As soon as they reached the building, Jial saw the welcoming party. A mix of Jedi and Coruscant Guards.

"Park a little bit away from them," Jial told Talon who agreed without a second thought. The group of 4 and the Acolytes got off their vehicles but simply stood beside them while eyeing the group a few meters away.

"Watch the vehicles. No one goes near them!" Nott commanded her followers. They were in hostile territory so she was sure to be careful.

Jial walked toward the receptionists that the Senate had produced and was surprised to see two familiar faces.

"Grandmaster Kirk. Master Fay," Jial greeted the pair of familiar faces with a smile. Neither had done him wrong in the past so he didn't mind being friendly with them. He was sure that they were probably on his side.

"Just Master Kirk now," Kirk smiled in return. "I stepped down from my position as Grandmaster and from the Jedi High Council."

"That's too bad. Was thinking of ways to bribe you so you can help me out at this trial," Jial joked, surprising Fay and Kirk. The seriousness of the charges would have made them think he would be on edge the entire time.

"Are you not worried?" Master Fay asked " The new Grand Master and President of the Senate both think they can convict you."

"The Black Sun thought they could beat me. They were wrong.

The Hutts thought they could crush me. They were wrong.

The Jedi thought they could arrest me. They were wrong.

The 3 guilds thought that they could control me. They were wrong.

I do not mean to sound arrogant. But everytime someone has tried to suppress me or force me to do something I did not want to, they were the ones who suffered. This time shall be no different."

Jial had done what others had considered impossible so many times that it made sense for him to be confident going into the trial. And even if they did end up convicting him... well he had an army of Bad Bloods and Purebloods led by HK-47/Sektor and Cleopatra/Beta respectively. Shooting their way out was always an option.

Jial smiled when he thought of that possibility. He hadn't had a good fight with the Republic yet.

The others saw his smile and knew it could be nothing good. When it came to their interactions with Jial, they almost always ended with someone dying.

Kirk and Fay led Jial's group inside while the rest of the receptionists followed closely behind them. All of them had their hands on their weapons and ready to pull them at a moment's notice.

"Can we kill them?" Talon asked in Yautja

"Not today. At least not for another hour," Jial told her while they were marching forward. Master Fay looked back at the pair worried. She had learned a few Yautja words and knew the words killing, day, and hour. She couldn't be sure of the whole sentence but she understand the implications.

'Let's just get them into the main hall,' Fay thought to herself.

They escorted the group onto a circular platform inside of a room with thousands of similar platforms. Master Kirk and the others left the platform just before it started floating to the center of the massive room.

The roars of countless representatives and senators began to pour out. Those who Yauja had refused to help, those who Yautja had refused to submit to, and even those that simply were unable to afford the number of droids they wanted. Anyone who had the slightest issue with Jial and the Yautja was yelling down and condemning them.

Jial stood at the front of the platform with his 3 members right behind him. He was not looking around at any of the voices coming from all directions to attack him. His eyes were ahead and slightly upwards.

There were 3 platforms. On the right was a human male that was leading those trying to condemn him. On the left was Queen Jendi who was supporting him. And in the middle was Iktotchi who was acting as the judge on the matter and was considered by the leaders of both sides to be a neutral party.

The man to the right stood atop a platform all by himself. He was a human that looked different from most politicians. He was young. Barely into his 30s. But he had the same look in his eyes that Jial did when he was that age. When he declared war on the most powerful organizations in the underworld.

Pure confidence

'Bring it on you arrogant, little shit!' Jial was ready to wipe the smirk off the the man's face

"Welcome, Lord Jial of Lok," the man smiled and fired the first shot

Jial smiled back. The trap in his words meant either making Jial seem petty by correcting him or making him seem submissive by not. He could see the trap and he had no choice but to jump right into it.

"I am the leader of Yautja Prime. I renamed it when I conquered it just as your family did the same to their planet, Sentor Vulcan," Jial shot back at the Senator. His family had conquered the planet Vulcan long ago

The senator's smile faltered for a moment before he recovered.

"My apologies. I'll be sure to keep that in mind."

"No worries. It is up to us seniors to educate the younger generation," Jial taunted again, poking fun at Senator Vulcan's age.

The young man's face turned red for a moment before he recovered. Most people respected his status and wealth so none had dared to disrespect him as Jial had done to his face.

All those that had personal interactions with Jial and knew what he was like were all smiling to themselves. They knew that Jial hadn't even truly started pushing his buttons yet. These were the level of taunts he saved for his friends. And Senator Vulcan was an enemy trying to get him executed. He was going to suffer

"Enough formalities. Let's get started on the trial," Vulcan looked at Jial with disapproval. "You are being tried for crimes against civilization. How do you plead?"
