Chapitre 254: Chapter 254: The Other Half

Luffy, Zoro, Nami, and Sanji made their way through the jungle. The trees were large and thick. Luffy was swinging on the trees.

"Luffy, be careful," Nami remarked, her voice tinged with concern as she watched her captain swing through the trees.

"This is so much fun!" Luffy exclaimed with childlike enthusiasm, his laughter ringing out as he soared through the air. However, his joy was short-lived as he misjudged his trajectory and collided headfirst with a sturdy tree trunk..

"Aww, that hurt," Luffy muttered, rubbing his sore forehead as he slid down the rough bark of the tree.

"You're such an idiot," Zoro grumbled under his breath.

Sanji sighed, shaking his head. "We need to be more careful," Sanji remarked.

"Shishishi," Luffy laughed.

"Lets keep going," Luffy shouted.

"He is in high spirits," Nami commented.

They started walking on the tree branches."This is such a high place," Nami added. She looked down to see the ground a few hundred meters down.

"Nami-swan I can carry you," Sanji offered.

"No," Nami coldly replied.

Sanji felt his heart got it. Sanji started to cry. "Nami," he sobbed. He hunched forward.

"Get up, you shitty cook," Zoro said.

"What did you say moss-head," Sanji replied. They both looked at each other.

"They're funny," Luffy laughed.

"Knock it off you too," Nami shouted. She walked on a tree branch and slid. She lost her footing. Nami quickly ran up and got to safety. "That was close," she muttered.

They kept walking. Nami was struggling to walk around. Luffy was swinging round. Zoro and Sanji were bickering and moving up. Nami then heard something. Her ear moved. "I can hear waves," Nami commented.

As Luffy heard Nami's words, he came to an abrupt halt, his curiosity instantly piqued. "Waves?" he questioned, his gaze scanning the horizon as if expecting to see something remarkable.

"There are a lot more sounds," Zoro interjected, his keen senses detecting the subtle shifts in the environment around them.

"Sounds of battles," Sanji remarked, his eyes narrowing as he picked up on the faint echoes of distant clashes echoing through the air.

"This island is more lively," Zoro observed, a hint of excitement creeping into his voice. He thought of Albasta.

"Ben mentioned something about this," Sanji recalled.

"Ben stole the last one," Luffy declared.

"Let's go and see the waves. The treasure must be there," Nami suggested, her eyes gleamed. Nami saw it. She ran off at full speed.

"Nami-swan wait up," Sanji remarked.

"She has gotten some energy," Zoro said.

"Let's go," Luffy said as she swung his arms. They all ran and saw a stone structure covered in vines. It had a staircase and it looked like it was cut in half.

"This," Sanji remarked, his eyes narrowing as he surveyed their surroundings, a sense of déjà vu washing over him.

"Looks familiar," Luffy mused, scratching his head as he tried to piece together the puzzle of their current location.

"This was on the ground," Nami commented, her gaze sweeping over the landscape as she recalled a similar sight.

"On the ground?" Zoro echoed, his confusion evident as he tried to make sense of Nami's statement.

"Yes, remember that place in Jaya?" Nami prompted.

Luffy's face brightened with realisation. "That person's house was half and there was a cardboard cutout!" he exclaimed, connecting the dots in his mind.

"So this," Zoro remarked, his own memories slotting into place as he pieced together the mystery.

"Yes, this was the other part of the island that got knocked up. This place is the other half of Jaya," Nami explained, her voice filled with certainty as she unveiled the truth.

Their jaws dropped in astonishment, realization dawning upon them. Luffy couldn't help but smile triumphantly. "I knew he was telling the truth," he chuckled. Luffy thought back to the man swimming in the ocean to find proof of his ancestors. He smiled.

"Mont Blanc Cricket," Sanji remarked. "Noland was right," he added. Sanji thought back on the story of how Noland found this island. He then went back to inform the king. When they got back, the island was gone. Noland was deemed a liar and executed. His ancestors have been trying to find the trust. They believed Noland was telling the truth. Sanji smiled.

"How did this get here?" Zoro questioned.

"That monstrous current might have played a role," Nami replied.

"It is possible," Sanji added.

"So this is the City of Gold," Zoro said.

Nami's eyes sparked. "Gold, treasure," Nami shouted.

"Shishishi," Luffy laughed.

They heard another explosion in the distance. "The battle there is getting tense," Zoro remarked.

"Do you think Ben is there?" Nami asked.

Luffy turned around. "This is my fight, he better not steal it," Luffy shouted. He grabbed Nami, Zoro and Sanji with one arm. He stretched his other arm.

"Luffy no," they said in unison. Luffy swung from branch to branch. Nami, Zoro and Sanji tried not to get hit. Nami screamed.

They got back to the lake with the altar. Luffy let them down and smiled. Nami got up and punched Luffy in the head. "Never do that," she cried.

Zoro and Sanji kicked Luffy. "Moron," Sanji remarked.

"Idiot," Zoro commented.

"That was fun," Luffy giggled.

They looked at the Usopp and Chopper lying on the ground next to the Going Merry. The Going Merry had a large hole in the hull. There was damage to the ship`s deck.

"Usopp, Chopper," Nami said. She had concern in her voice.

Zoro, Sanji and Luffy looked seriously at their ship. "Someone attacked it," Sanji said.

"I will not let them get away with this," Luffy added. He grabbed Zoro, Sanji and Nami and swung them across to the altar. They all landed on their feet. Nami and Sanji ran towards Chopper and Usopp. They both were bleeding and were soaked.

"You both okay?" Sanji asked.

Usopp responded weakly, "A priest attacked us."

"Priest," Luffy said.

He walked down the stairs. A large blue shark jumped out of the water. Luffy pulled his arm back. "Gomu Gomu no Pistol," Luffy said as he hit the shark. The shark went flying back. "You have my crew, I will find you," Luffy declared.
