“Uncle, don't tell me you are not aware that I am unaffected by poison. My wolf always heals herself when I’m poisoned. I have been like this since I was born,” Rae said with a confused look on her face,

“What?” I gasped. 

“Have the Ze'ev heritage mixed with Ma’s heritage? My wolf can heal itself from any wound, poison, and so on. I am never affected. I thought you knew this” Rae chuckled. 

“He does not. It seems Ulysses was kept in the dark,” Kloud snickered. 

“Pa and Ma never told you?” Rae whispered in shock. 

“No.” I shook my head. “This is news to me.”

“But Uncle Faolan knows this. I remember he asked me once,” Rae said with a shrug.

“So, this is what Astaroth and Marama are fighting over,” Kloud muttered under his breath.

I moved closer to Rae on the couch. “Let me ask you when you came to the West Kingdom with your Ma, did she ask you to carry anything?”
