Chapitre 64: Chapter 64

Chapter 64

Michikatsu was initially afraid that he had pledged his loyalty to the wrong person, but after learning that she was merely a centuries-old girl with the mind of a young princess and scared, he began to feel paternal towards her, especially after remembering his own daughter who was killed when she was young, which led him to an obsession with power and starting to protect her as if she were his daughter.

He began teaching and guiding her, even providing her with new plans and training her in combat.

He knew that demons were too strong and that the demon slayer squad stood no chance against upper-level demons like himself or even Mozan after the Union provided them with new techniques through their power, continually strengthening the demons. Michikatsu then dismissed the idea that the demon slayer squad could fight them.

Even when Mozan fought with her younger brother, Yoriichi, who had the strongest talent for swordsmanship and reached a terrifying stage of swordsmanship as a human, he could only fight with a version of her that carried one-thousandth of her real power.

What could Michikatsu do but truly despair that humans were indeed weak and could never be on the same level as demons?

(Author: Now I dare any one of you to spit and say why this does not follow the original work, and I tell you with my secret weapon that this is another parallel universe, hehehehehe)

"Michikatsu, I'm glad I met you at that time," Mozan wiped her tears not on her cheeks even though the tears continued to fall. "But I'm really tired. I've been tired of all this running for thousands of years. I've been trying to escape out of fear, even living my first centuries like a rat, looking for…

When Mozan remembers the time she was searching for the blue spider lily in the streets, constantly running, scared that someone would find out she was a demon.

A thousand years ago

Mozan, 180 years after her transformation into a demon

The sky was filled with clouds, thunder, and rain. Mozan was walking barefoot in a forest.

Her eyes were lifeless as if soulless, wandering aimlessly for 180 years out of fear of humans.

Suddenly, a group of humans in filthy clothes with evil looks and carrying weapons emerged.

"Hahahaha, we finally found another victim," these were the bandits of this age, filled with barbarism, savagery, and murder. "Come on, guys, we finally found something that will bring us money."

Evil laughter continued to emerge as Mozan stared at them calmly. She was tired of a life of running. She just wanted to escape. She was the reason for her mother's death, as her mother died giving birth to her, and her father died when she was four, going abroad to seek a cure for her illness.

Then she turned into a demon, killed her benefactor, and ran for 180 years. She was tired of everything, continuing her search in the hopes of finding the blue spider lily, as this was mentioned in the book of the benefactor she killed.

After that, she wandered all over the country. As a result, she found no trace of the existence of something like the blue spider lily.

She encountered all kinds of humans, those who kill for their power, those who make themselves kings and conquer lands on a mountain of corpses, bandits who rob, slave traders, and even those who buy women and introduce them into the red zone.

(Author: I don't know if there's anyone who knows what the red zone is, and the reason for writing it this way was just out of fear if there are children reading my novel. I hope you understand.)

She despised that humans never evolved, never stopped wars, killing, and crime.

When she was human, she was a princess, her clan held a significant place in this world, and her clan was filled with glory due to their righteousness and justice.

Even from when she was small until she turned fourteen, she received the highest education until she turned into a demon at the end of her fourteenth year.

Because of the education, she had disdain for evil and every wicked act.

When she sees the faces of these bandits filled with evil and their eyes filled with lust, anger fills her heart for the first time in all these years.

She could have saved many humans but did not want to do so out of fear of being discovered. But now, she felt regret; she could have saved them, but she did not.

Mozan started moving at a speed these ordinary humans could not see.

"Aghhhhhhhh my hand," one of the men's hand was cut off, and blood spread everywhere, terrifying everyone there. It didn't take long for the second and third to scream similarly.

The sky thundered fiercely, and the rain merged with the blood on the ground, covering it. Mozan stood amidst the severed bodies, with only one person left trembling in fear, their leader.

"P-please let me go, I'll give you all the money I have, just let me live," Mozan stared at him coldly as if looking at an insect, with blood dripping from her jade-like hands, feeling as though a weight had been lifted off her shoulders and a new strength had emerged within her.

"You want to live, don't you?" the man nodded quickly, pleading with her. "Tell me, then, how many innocents have you killed?"

His eyes widened as he swallowed, "Gulp, the number of those I've killed has surpassed four hundred." As he disclosed the number of his kills, he trembled.

Hearing the number, anger and disgust filled Mozan's eyes, as she smelled a foul odor coming from the man's pants that had become wet, wanting to kill him because she had only asked about the number of kills. What about the number of people sold, raped, and other atrocities? "Then answer this question, and I will let you live."

"Where is your main base?" She was certain that their access to weapons, money, and slave trade must have a background and a base.

"I-it's in a giant cave in the Twin Mountains." As soon as Mozan verified the location, she vanished in front of the man.

The man looked left and right to see if she was still there. Once assured, he got up and ran away, intending to leave this cursed place. Suddenly, lightning struck him with such force as if the heavens were disgusted by his presence and killed him.

"I said I wouldn't kill you, but the lightning didn't promise that," a wicked smile appeared on Mozan's beautiful face, enhancing her beauty even if KE were here, he would fall in love with her. (Author: Covetous of her body, hehehe)

She didn't know how, but a new power emerged, allowing her to control the lightning from the sky, which she tested on the man.

Although her action was rude for not keeping her promise, when she remembered all the ugliness of humanity and its evil deeds, she surrendered in the face of this evil.

"Now, I must hurry to their main base before something bad happens," sharp, pitch-black wings appeared behind Mozan's back, her current form resembling a fallen angel as she flew high in the sky.

After a while flying, she finally found the twin mountains and headed towards them quickly.

**Inside the cave**

**The main base of the bandits**

Many men were celebrating around the fire, drinking wine, with many men, women, and children on the side.

Many of them had bruises on their faces, and even their clothes were torn. Many children were crying, and none of the bandits cared or even sympathized with them because, for them, they were just tools to be sold for money.

In a moment filled with the boisterous laughter of men and the festive atmosphere of victory, a man with a huge beard and features not devoid of cruelty was distributing his wide smiles to his companions, boasting about the crushing victory they had achieved. "Hahaha, my dear men, let's drink and eat to our fill, for today we celebrate our victory, a victory in which we destroyed entire villages and reaped all the spoils!" His words echoed in the air as a declaration of the greatness of their dreadful deeds.

Among the crowd, another man who shared his laughter threw in his words, encouraging their leader with a wicked smile: "Boss, why don't you go ahead and enjoy your spoils before us?" That smile carried hidden meanings, while their leader's gaze turned towards Koyuki with undisguised lust.

Koyuki, a girl who had suffered from illness since childhood, would have died if not for her father Keizo's efforts in providing the necessary medicine. With her father gone under mysterious circumstances, her fiancé Hakuji stood by her side, filling the void left by her father, giving her hope to survive among these beasts in human skin.

"Back off, you scoundrel! Don't you dare touch Koyuki!" Hakuji shouted, bursting into the scene before the ugly man's hand could reach Koyuki. With his head, he struck the ugly man's head, creating a crack in his nose until blood began to flow. "You bastard, that hurts!" the ugly man screamed, but Hakuji didn't give him a chance to recover, hitting him again and knocking him down, causing shock and a sudden halt among the celebrating men.

"Boss, are you okay? Come on, men, let's stand up and avenge our boss!" the men shouted, starting a fierce attack on Hakuji. Yet, even under the barrage of brutal hits, Hakuji stood his ground, fighting back.
