"Dad, you're finally back," said Suma, a beautiful girl, as the massive door opened, and she hugged the old man.
KE didn't understand what was happening. Suddenly, another girl named Makio tried to pull her sister Suma away from the old man.
"You fool, we have guests, be careful," Makio didn't really think that Suma was so strong and continued to hug the old man.
Suma puffed her cheeks, looking annoyed at Maiko, "No, I don't want to leave dad."
"Welcome back, Otoh-sama," while the two sisters argued, their eldest sister Hinatsuru bowed humbly, her forehead touching the ground, and whispered.
The old man smiled, patted Suma's head, and whispered, "I'm home."
KE focused on the three girls, certain he had seen them somewhere before.
"Your Majesty, these are my three daughters," the old man said proudly to KE.
KE thought for a moment and remembered that the girls had appeared in one of his future visions, "You girls, do you seek someone powerful to help you in forging the hidden metal of your clan, right?"
The three girls were shocked. They were certain that no one knew about this metal except for them and their father.
No one in the Hidden Blacksmith Village knew of this metal's existence. Yet, now, a stranger, referred to as 'His Majesty' by their father, knew about this precious metal, which was very unusual and, at the same time, he was also aware of its existence.
"KE, is this from your vision of the future?" Raizel approached and asked KE, noticing that none of the girls seemed to recognize his friend.
The way KE asked indicated to him that it was due to his future vision.
To Raizel, who had lived for thousands of years, nothing was as intriguing as KE.
Kanae heard what Raizel said, surprised, "KE, are you telling me you can now see into the future?"
"Just a little, just a bit," KE scratched his head, not wanting to reveal his powers everywhere, though he wouldn't care even if everyone knew about his abilities.
"Okay, now's not the time to explain," KE covered Kanae's mouth with his hands because she wanted to know more.
This was the only way to silence Kanae, making her understand what KE meant.
The three girls were shocked by what they heard. Their father referred to the child, who resembled a god and had an aura of arrogance and mystery, as 'His Majesty' or the handsome man covered in an aura of nobility.
Everything happening now would drive anyone crazy, as no one knew that the world had changed, at least for ordinary humans.
"Girls, is what His Majesty said true?" the old man looked at them, his hands trembling.
He was very nervous because the hidden metal was a secret known only to the clan patriarch, but because he loved his three daughters so much, there was no secret he kept from them.
From the books of his ancestors he had read, this metal came from the star-studded sky; it was extraterrestrial. When it fell to their planet, the Earth experienced a severe earthquake that changed the entire world's terrain.
Because of this metal, many of his ancestors and he himself had tried numerous methods to forge weapons, to turn this metal into a mighty sword.
But no fire could scratch this metal; it was simply indestructible.
To be honest, he didn't care about this metal because he had seen the rapid and terrifying development of technology. He already knew that the art of sword-making would decline worldwide to the point of becoming very rare.
More importantly, many weapon forging techniques would disappear in the long river of time, so he didn't care for this metal.
But what pained him was that his young daughters wanted to do something with this metal without telling him.
This was his pain; he was sure that if his young daughters had asked him, he would have agreed immediately, and now he wanted to know why they did this even though he would have agreed.
Makio and Suma bowed their heads out of fear to look at the old man, while Hinatsuru's eyes were filled with complexity.
She didn't want things to turn out this way, so she looked at KE and explained, "Yes, sir, it was me who wanted to do it, not my sisters, because I forced them to do it with me."
KE understood what Hinatsuru was trying to say, so he nodded to her, "Jiji, let's go inside first. This problem is between me and your three daughters."
"As you command, Your Majesty," the old man bowed to KE and looked at his three daughters before entering.
He felt he should not interfere because KE was involved.
This feeling had been strengthened since he was young and had saved the Hidden Blacksmith Village for decades; it was impossible for this feeling to betray him.
After a while, the old man took KE, Kanae, and Raizel to the reception room.
The house was in the style of Nippon houses, filled with beauty.
As soon as KE and the others sat down, Hinatsuru brought tea and started pouring for them.
The old man looked at KE with great respect, and every word he said to him was chosen carefully.
This made the three girls respect KE and even refer to him as 'His Majesty,' even though they knew nothing about it.
After a while, KE got to the point, focusing on Hinatsuru, "Can you tell me why you wanted to destroy your clan's heritage?"
Hinatsuru looked at him, pouring him tea, and explained, "It was because I started seeing strange things happening at any time."
"Seeing…" KE drank a cup of tea and thought deeply.
He focused on her eyes and felt she knew him a little, "What visions do you see? Can you explain to me?"
Hinatsuru closed her eyes as she answered, "I don't know, but all this started a year ago. The visions come sporadically. Sometimes they come when I'm playing with my sisters, allowing me to see the future for moments and easily win against them."
"What, Nee-san? You always beat us and now you say it's because of cheating?" Makio and Suma were upset because they always lost to her, feeling there was no hope of defeating her.
"But these visions, why do you want to take your clan's heritage and forge it into a weapon?" KE asked, prompting Hinatsuru to recall what she had seen in her visions.
Her silence made the old man and her sisters worry, but KE understood why she hesitated, "Are they enemies who want this metal?"
Hinatsuru sighed, "Yes, they are terrifying people. I haven't seen their faces, but in one vision, I saw one of them kill everyone in our village. No one survived except for me and my sisters." KE finally understood her urgency. If he were in her place, he might have done even worse.
Without KE's understanding, genius, and strength, he wouldn't know how many times he or his family might have died, "I completely understand you, and I'm by your side. I will fully help you and wait here until they come."
Hinatsuru's eyes teared up, feeling a weight lifted off her shoulders. She wanted to thank him, but he continued, "From what I heard, your visions of the future always predict events that will happen very soon, possibly this week."
"That's why I need to prepare many things, most importantly, to take this metal and shape it into a weapon," the old man, who felt guilty for not noticing his daughter's troubles, was relieved.
He never thought KE would help his clan survive this disaster since they were strangers.
Suddenly, the old man remembered a message sent by his relative, "Place your full trust in His Majesty. He is the only one who will give his whole heart to his subjects."
The old man understood what his relative meant and also why all the officials and clan patriarchs had surrendered to him.
He even felt his ancestors were pitiful and unlucky because they didn't have KE.
Now, he felt completely safe following such a person.
"Your Majesty, the rooms are already prepared. You must be tired from your journey here, along with your wife and friend. How about you take a rest there? There are also hot springs," KE's eyes lit up at the mention of hot springs and he nodded in agreement.
He knew that the old man had completely surrendered to him, so he wouldn't let him down and refuse his kindness.
The old man turned his head, looking sadly at his daughters, especially Hinatsuru, "I'm sorry I didn't notice your fear. I guess it's all because of work pressure. It seems I need to find someone to succeed me so I can stay by your side."
The old man emphasized the word "succeed me" loudly and strongly. Kanae and Raizel didn't care much about this.
Firstly, Kanae was almost KE's wife, and since everyone cultivates Etheora, age doesn't matter as reaching a certain realm grants eternity.
As for Raizel, he didn't care about these emotions and only wanted to find a happy life, seeking happiness after all the events that had exhausted him over thousands of years.
To him, all living beings in this era were just children.
Only KE, his family, and his followers, who didn't care about rank or status, were his friends.
For him, all living beings were equal.
