Stacy emerged from the bathroom, water droplets glistening on her skin, her senses immediately alert as she scanned the room.

The air was heavy with the scent of fresh linen and the lingering aroma of the breakfast tray placed on the table beside the bed. Mr. Qin was nowhere to be seen.

She was indeed glad he had left, she was really feeling uncomfortable in his presence. She wondered how she was going to cope being around him when they were married.

She knew it was contractual but she was going to see him every day, which was huge stress to her.

Her gaze darted towards her phone, lying next to the tray. A sense of urgency washed over her as she hurriedly reached for it.

She was grateful he had brought her phone to her. She needed to call her parents so tell them she was fine and also check up on them.
