Waves crashed.

Seagulls chirped.

People awed.

Yet here we were sitting in court without really caring for the beauty all around us.

I kind of wanted to go out sightseeing and see more of the world or the beach. But I had to deal with this crap. Kind of why my mood took a slightly cranky route. I'm sure they could feel the irritation in my voice.

Kind of why they started hurrying up a bit.

I'd never been in a formal court setting, so I didn't know if this stuff differed from actual courts back home but I didn't really care.
