Chapitre 14: Chapter 4 - The Crimson One

Eren appeared like a blur in the night, immediately cutting down the first of his opposition. With this, the other four who had been fighting had stopped fighting, all looking at Eren with a "For real?" Look on their faces.
They then turned to each other and looked back at Eren, only to silently agree to gank Eren all at once.
The first one to appear threw what looked like a tentacle at Eren, hoping to grab him.
With his agility, Eren easily dodged the disgusting body part and cut it down the middle, causing the creature to scream.
That wasn't all, as before the creature could pull it back, Eren proceeded to run towards it while cutting up the remaining half of the tentacle still connected to the monster.
The creature getting cut up couldn't take the pain from having his remaining limb cut repeatedly and instead just charged Eren as fast as he could.
The moment it reached Eren, it stomped down with its front right claw, intending to crush him into the non-visible floor.
The counter was swift as Eren moved just far enough back that the claw missed him by a hair, only for him to pull both of his blade hands back and start cutting the claw apart.
It only took two seconds to disfigure and turn the claw into mincemeat completely, yet Eren did not stop there as he used all of his speed and ran to cut the back tendons of the creature, sending it crashing into the ground.
With only one working claw, the creature tried to turn its head, only for its eyes to be slashed the moment its head had turned.
In the end, with only one claw, no eyes, and Eren currently above it slashing off its head, the first of the group of five had died.
Yet Eren had no breathing room as two of the others had shown up trying to get to him.
The two creatures were hesitant to go into the fight, assuming the other creatures would take advantage of their weakness the second the fight ended.
The second they reached within a meter of Eren, they both launched their attacks only to be met with complete annihilation.
Eren, seeing them, had split all his tendrils and, with all of his agility, swung them rapidly in all directions, completely eviscerating anything that got too close.
The two ideas had no time to react as the tendrils dug into their skin, took out chunks of their body, and eventually killed them all in less time than it took for Eren to kill the first one.
Eren turned to the last two ideas and was surprised by what he saw. The ideas looked horrified upon seeing him despatch enemies they were having a hard time with and slowly looking at each other, then looked back at Eren only to run!
There was only one thing Eren thought upon seeing this… 'Bruuuhhh'
And with that thought, Eren turned around and went back to absorb the already three dead ideas.
He felt himself get stronger again upon absorbing the ideas, taking only fifteen seconds in total. Only one thought was on his mind, though, as Eren turned around and quickly sped into a direction.
'They think they can run, but rule number one of a battle royale is "when your opponent tries to run, you don't stop chasing until they're dead."'
Using newfound speed, Eren started speeding across the battlefield of ideas and inheritance holders, knowing precisely what he was searching for.
Some had caught a glimpse of him speeding around the battlefield, but Eren already had tunnel vision and was hot on the trail of one of his prey.
It was too late for the idea as it turned around only to see a blur of Eren right before it. The creature was already dead before it even had the chance to grasp the situation, and its body was already cut in half.
Quickly consolidating the dead idea, Eren ran to the last one alive, knowing exactly where it ran off and the creature's looks. It was already dead inside the mind of Eren.
The last idea target could be considered anticlimactic as Eren snuck behind it and cut its head off upon catching up.
The ideas could be said to be weak, but that isn't the case as the longer this battle rages, the more creatures are consolidated, in turn increasing the base level of power.
Eventually, the first spawns would give nothing in terms of power when consolidated, and that could only mean pushing toward stronger targets.

There existed a tale that the new spawns of the In-Between told.
The tale was that of one being, and that being was called many things to the creatures and spawns of the In-Between.
"The Crimson One, Red Death, The Monarch Of Blood, Death Incarnate." Yet all of these titles and none of the ones who spread these titles ever fought the creature of the tale.
The reason? They say any who fought "The Crimson One" was as good as dead. The thought of "HIM" showing up and coming after them was the nightmare of nightmares.
For the ones who all did battle with "The Scarlet Menace," all ended the same… Dead like all challengers before as, the bodies of the defeated opponents of "HIM" never seemed to dissipate.
They shall continue to grow no matter who "IT" faces, as "HIS" fight is a never-ending battle for death and destruction, for his fight is eternal!

As I wandered through the In-Between, I realized it had been some time since I checked my stats.
The weaklings from before had all been consolidated, and now stood the higher-tier spawns.
The base level for these spawns were stats all at 50 or above, meaning that even if there were more fresh spawns, they would barely give anything upon absorption.

Explanation: Being an eldritch spawn, you can do a lot of things, but the basics are seeing souls, being able to travel to The Outside, Understanding resistance, and many other minor effects.
Talent Ability 2: Eldritch Blood
Explanation: The eldritch are a race of chaos and destruction, and it is very easy for them to destroy their surroundings just by their presence. Eldritch Blood gives you a better affinity with disorder, death, and destruction.
Talent Ability 3: Chaos Addiction
Explanation: The eldritch are bringers of chaos, disorder, and depravity. The eldritch are attracted to chaos so much to the point that they actively seek it.

I have been here for about 36 hours, meaning half my time here is used, but I can say I've pushed up in the time I've been here.
After getting my first stat to 100, I realized there was a wall in front of me as once each of my stats reached 100, consolidating others only gave me one point in one stat.
The main reason for this is I am way stronger than the baseline ideas, so me consolidating them gives so much less than if another baseline spawn did.
Yet I paid it no mind as I continued slaughtering anything in front of me, and because of that, I am currently surrounded by nothing.
By nothing, I mean NOTHING, as whenever I tried to face a singular idea in a horde, the rest would stop fighting and run away from me like they knew who I was.
The ideas and inheritance holders started forming groups due to the power in numbers, helping keep others in check.
However, none of that mattered to me, as whenever I saw a group of any kind, I rushed in with no singular care about numbers and slaughtered as many as I could.
The groups I ran into looked at me like I was some sort of chainsaw man able to kill them with just a glance, and ever since, any time I run into a group, I have to kill as many as I can before they use all their speed to run into different directions.
I might as well try and find large groups to try and grow even more, as The Outside was not fair, and death would come to you the moment you let your guard down.
With all this running, I could only have one thought on my mind…

I've had this chapter half-finished for three days and never finished, so I'll post this when I'm half-done or fully finished with the next chapter. (I COOKED 2 CHAPTERS!!!)
More fighting, and maybe in one or two more chapters, you guys will finally go Outside- I mean, see "The Outside."
