With his horse's speed, Pin quickly caught up with the carriage. Seeing that, the coachman hurried his horse even more, but with the weight of the carriage and its passengers, his horses were already at their limit.
As Pin and his horse caught up with the carriage, they began to get close to the carriage door. Slightly different from other carriages, which had windows in the doors to look inside and brighten the interior, this carriage didn't have any windows in its door, preventing anyone from looking inside or anyone inside from looking outside. This made Pin wonder a bit about whether they were in darkness inside.
After getting closer to the door, Pin first balanced himself upon his horse and kneeled forward, extending his hand toward the carriage door, trying to open it.
