"Your name is written here, Ms. Loreen," Edric pointed out.

"Right. Haha," Loreen laughed awkwardly, not knowing what to do now that he knew about it.

"Counting the days, it's mine, isn't it?" Edric eyed her seriously. 

He asked her a question, but he sounded as if he was already so sure about it. 

'I only had a one-night stand with him. Couldn't he think it could have been someone else's?'

"No. I had a boyfriend days after we met. He's the father," Loreen lied. She didn't even know why she was denying it.

This man was handsome. He treated her well when they slept together. He seemed to be kind too. 

But he looks rich. Judging from his clothes, he must be affluent.

Loreen was poor and she knew her place. It was better not to get her hands on things she would not be able to swallow.
