Chapitre 137: No future together

Giovanni looked at Lilian's face which was scrunched up in confusion. He wanted to kiss her but he forced himself to stop. He was done with being her second option who she only turned to when she was lonely.

"Don't you want me anymore?" she asked.

"Right now, I only want you as a friend." he told her.

"Gio" she said pleadingly, he shook his head. She fisted his shirt and looked at him pleadingly biting her lips.

"I need you Gio." she whimpered.

"I am done with being your plaything Rosa, I can be your friend, nothing more." he said and stood up.

"Please don't go." she whispered.

He looked at her, "I am resigning soon from being Alessandro's driver." he told her.

"Why?" she asked.

"The only reason I stayed here all this while was because of you, but I am done waiting for you. I will be moving away from the city of New lanterns."

"Gio, how long do you have here?" she asked in a whisper.

"A month give or take."
