Leroy's POV
I haven't been able to watch movies since I became a soldier in the Oz Pack, especially action movies. So I was very happy and excited to witness this live scene that was about to take place.
The young girl that I trained is fighting rather against three rogues who want to rob us.
The only thing that was going to ruin the moment a little bit was the fact that there wasn't any popcorn.
Seeing the way my hands were bandaged, it was already clear to them that I couldn't fight, so they paid less attention to me.
Janet was trying her best to not show them that she was terrified by keeping a bold face, but deep down she was afraid.
Since our wolves have bonded, I could easily hear and feel what she was feeling.
I felt this inner urge to stand up and help her, but at the same time something kept on telling me not to judge a book by its cover but instead to allow her first, and if the process requires my help, then I will act.
"Young girl, we are not here to hurt you; if you have any money or gold, just give it to us, and we will go in peace. We will also advise you to drop that sword before you hurt yourself with it," the rogue in the middle, who seems to be their leader, said to her.
"Well, if life were that easy, I would actually be at home sleeping in a comfortable bed beside my parents instead of sleeping in this forest. If it's our gold and money you want, come get it," Janet said to them with a daring tone.
"We were only trying to be kind to you, little girl, but we didn't imagine that we would turn out being lectured by a little brat like you. Do me a favor and teach her some manners," their leader commanded the rogue in the middle.
"With all pleasure," the rogue said before he started running towards Janet while aiming his sword at her.
As he was fast approaching her, I felt the urge to block him before he reached Janet, but immediately I brushed the idea away while staying alert in case of any inconveniences.
I kept on staring at him with many thoughts running through my mind as he was speedily approaching Janet, who stood her ground without making a single move.
Just when he was some meters away from Janet, she immediately dashed towards me, and just like a flash of light, the both of them crossed each other and stood still.
Once I saw that, my heart skipped immediately. As an experienced sword fighter, I have witnessed scenes like this before, and whenever it happens, it means only two things: either the two fighters gave each other a cut or one fighter gave the other a cut. Now the question is: which of the two events took place?
As these thoughts were running through my mind, I tried standing up in order to ensure myself that it was Janet that had received the cut because the both of them were still standing still after crossing each other, and in no seconds, the person who had received the cut was going to fall down.
As I was about to stand up, my gaze went directly to Janet's sword, and to my greatest surprise, some drops of blood were falling from her sword, and immediately the rogue that she had crossed kneeled down before collapsing on the floor.
With that, I heaved a sigh of relief.
"Who's next?" She asked the two remaining rogues, who were staring at her surprisedly, with their jaws dropping in awe.
"I think we underestimated the little girl," their leader whispered to the other rogue, who nodded in agreement.
"What do you think we should do?" The second rogue asked the leader in a whisper.
"We attack her together," the leader said to the second rogue before turning his gaze towards Janet.
Even though they said it in a whisper, I'm sure that Janet heard what they said clearly because of her wolf senses.
It's one of the abilities that every werewolf has; we can hear clearly what people are discussing, even if they are some meters away from us.
Once they said that, I slowly pulled out my sword while making sure that they didn't realize it.
Without hesitating, the both of them dashed towards Janet with the only aim of killing her, but to my greatest surprise, instead of running for her life, she too dashed towards them.
"What on earth is wrong with this girl?" I questioned myself while standing up, but before I could nearly get on my foot, the second rogue was already lying lifeless on the ground; she was now exchanging strikes of the sword with their leader, who was holding an axe.
I stood there, staring amazingly, as the two of them were exchanging strikes.
From the point of view of things, she could have already struck him down if she wanted because his strikes weren't accurate like hers, but instead she decided to play a little bit with him first.
Well, you should be a sword fighter in order to understand how annoying it's to be exchanging strikes with someone who you think you could easily take.
When she got tired of exchanging strikes with him, she immediately struck him on the arm, making him let go of the axe immediately.
Without hesitating, she gave him a kick that made him stumble twice before taking hold of himself.
As he was about to stand, she immediately pointed her sword at him.
To my greatest surprise, the rogue, who was feigning to be the strongest among the three, started pleading for his life.
"Please don't kill me; spare my life," he pleaded with a teary tone.
"Wow, I'm dreaming or what? Weren't you the one calling me a brat some minutes ago?" Janet asked him with a smirk on her face.
"Yes, I did, but I swear to the moon goddess I will never try it again," the rogue said to Janet while trembling in fear.
"Ok, I have forgiven you," Janet said to him while lowering her sword.
Immediately she turned around. The rogue slowly brought out a pocket knife from his pocket and immediately dashed towards Janet, but she was already expecting such a reaction. Before he could get to her his head was already flying in the air as his blood splashed on her face.
"So how was I?" She asked me while cleaning the blood on her face.
I couldn't utter a word; I was only staring at her with my jaw dropped in awe.
"I would have liked to perfect, but not until I do this?" I said to her before throwing my sword at her in such a way that it would pierce her heart.
Wow is this the same Janet that Alpha Tony called weakling?
I can't believe it.
