Selena’s POV

Madelyn lived in my house. We have tea and gossip together every day. She is a lively and lovely girl, and my life has become more colorful because of her.

Today, Madelyn came to my room. She was standing in my closet, looking at my clothes. Now and then she would pull out a dress or skirt and look at it in the mirror. When she put my clothes down, the smile on her face disappeared.

"My parents are calling me again. Ugh!"

"Although I'd like you to stay here with me as long as possible, I can't do that. Your parents will be worried about you. You've recovered from your cold. Maybe you should go home and visit them?"
