Listening to Harrison's account of what happened back then left me terrified.

"So, my father was also involved in that Alpha meeting, and he even conspired with others to plot the murder of your father..."

"That's right. Adding to what Luisa said, I speculate that, as part of the conspiracy, after my father's death, Alexander obtained a significant fortune. However, beyond that, he didn't gain any power."

Compared to my fear and unease, Harrison appeared calm. But that calmness reminded me of the calm before a storm.
