Kayla’s POV
Luckily, everything went smoothly at work today. My interview article received praise from the editor-in-chief. The production of the first issue of the magazine is halfway to success. Next week, we'll announce our theme to the public and do a photoshoot with Harrison, then we'll just wait to reap the 'fruits' of our labor.
At 5 o'clock in the afternoon, I finished my work, picked up Daisy from daycare, and took the bus back home. As I held Daisy's small hand and walked with laughter on the semi-hill road in Westminster, an unexpected visitor was waiting for us at the front gate of our villa.
"Oh, Kayla! Daisy! You're finally back!" Amber, leaning against the wall, immediately stood up and rushed over to give us a hug.
"What are you doing here?"
I looked at Amber, who seemed a bit weary, with a puzzled expression. Before I could ask her more questions, I quickly took out my keys from my bag and opened the front door.
"Come in! Do you need some water, Amber?"
