Kayla's POV

"I'm sorry, Harrison! Uh, I mean... Mr. Morris!" After a brief moment of shock, I remained in a kneeling position, my head lowered.

"It's all my fault, I've wasted your time! If you're ready now, we can start..."

"What if I'm not ready now?" Harrison furrowed his brow, shifted his weight, and settled onto the nearby couch. He then began to scrutinize my anxious expression with apparent interest.

"If you're not ready now, we can schedule the interview for another time."

"Another time?" Harrison raised an eyebrow. Suddenly, he leaned forward on the couch, and his striking face stopped just inches from mine. I instinctively held my breath.

"If you return to the magazine office like this today, even if I give you another chance for the interview, can you be sure that your leader will still entrust you with it?"

"An employee who messes up an important interview will face serious consequences. I think you can imagine that, right?"
