One of the two followers stepped forward and released his strength, golden mana sweeping out. The force of this mana knocked over several items in the room. Above the follower, the skyland phenomenon appeared and coalesced into twelve marble-sized white spheres of light.
The lights circulated within his aura in the shape of a small python!
Jody didn't know what this meant, but he felt a little jealous.
It was becoming impossible to breathe, and Jody was terrified to find that he felt his breath of life fading away. Was he dying?! How fucking strong did one have to be to kill others with nothing but the pressure from their mana? Or maybe Jody was just too weak!
'Am I really going to die here? At least I got to kiss a girl, I guess.' Jody thought. 'Could've had to kiss a boy like dad...'
However, thoughts that didn't belong to himself suddenly assailed his consciousness.
"X, what level is the opponent?"
"Uhh…Gold atmosphere, 12 BP. Sophomore Sage!"
"That's nothing. Don't be afraid, kid, just fight! Release your damn strength!" Xavier and then Sylvester's voice rang out in Jody's mind, waking him up from his panic.
"That's right, how can I sit here idly and wait for rescue without fighting," Jody's gaze sharpened.
He stopped repressing his bubbling rage, and his astral light and mana suddenly used his rage as a conduit to become a titanic rage force. This battle force burst out of Jody for the first time.
The battle force differed from the forces of the heavens and earth, as it came from within. Being able to turn one's own mana into explosive energy that could resist or assimilate the ambient was known as having a battle force!
Jody's anger exploded with five astralis active, his power level shooting up. Instantly, the pressure he felt from before had vanished completely. If he were to attack right now, his fists would be like flying boulders weighing 1.5 tons. Although the star power in his flesh was pure strength, Jody had just managed to convert his mana and astral light into battle force using the bit of rage law he comprehended.
His power level was now 14 BP, almost 15 BP. He was at least 2.5 points stronger than his opponent. The masked follower moved, chopping down with a knife-hand covered in golden mana. Even staring at the knife hand as it came chopping down, Jody no longer felt threatened. He stood before Sek, astral light shining as he countered with a left straight.
Even though Jody had practiced this attack hundreds of times already, this time, he felt the hint of a different sort of power as he circulated the strength of Titanic Rage.
This one punch contained all of Jody's astral might. He executed the third form of Fists of Light, and his power increased to over 20 BP.
"Light of Destruction! Destructo Fist!"
When the knife hand made contact with Jody's skin, there was a 'clink' sound, like a sharp rock being thrown against a brick wall. Jody barely felt the sting on his neck as his fist connected with the attacker's face.
Crack!
The fist blew away the follower, and terrible cracking sounds were heard. Jody's opponent collided with the second follower, causing them both to slide for three meters and crash into the transformation platform. The ugly muscle-headed goon was dumbfounded as he sidestepped and let the two followers fly past him. His eyes popped out, and his jaw hung as he stared at the spot they landed in.
"What…the fuck…just a regular punch?" Said the ugly goon, his face solemn, "What the fuck is this brat? Could it be inborn divine might?"
The goon had initially wondered why the priest forced them to change plans once he found out Lord Trillwolf's shadow brought a child here. However, he felt like he understood it for himself now. This kid was indeed a weed that needed to be pulled immediately!
"Boss Murphy, cough cough, boss, Tony's dead!" Said the second follower in her feminine voice, climbing from under his companion's corpse with difficulty.
The one who had attacked Jody, Tony, lay breathless with his jaw hanging loose and his neck twisted around twice. His eyes still held the shock and disbelief from the moment his attack failed. He likely didn't even know how he died.

[Imp: Use the passphrase 'tweet' to summon the Twilight Ankh."]
The Twilight Ankh tattoo shined before the artifact appeared around Jody's neck as the Twilight Imp's mystical voice sang to his heart. Jody was startled; this was the first time he had heard this voice since the upgrade was completed. At that time, Jody discovered that he had to reach the rookie level to access the first tier of the story. It seemed he had finally done so.
Also, wasn't it easier to understand now? On top of that, it used to many unfamiliar terms. Plus, he was in the midst of another deity viewing.
This time it was the True Pharaoh of Origin. Maybe he could achieve a comment?
"Dead..." Boss Murphy was taken aback at first before raging the next moment. "You dirty brat, I'll slaughter you!"
When Boss Murphy tried to release his essence, nothing happened. He instantly felt his back become wet with sweat. Turning back to face the little monster with the mean left straight, Boss Murphy was terrified by what he saw. He nearly collapsed, losing all strength in his legs.
"Fr...Frankie..."
Standing in front of Jody and Sek Si, as still as thousand-year-old ice, was an otherworldly beauty wearing a sexy violet dress.
She wore beautiful bracelets that shined in runic light on both of her wrists and ankles, her feet bare. Her face inspired worship among men, but now, she had incomparably glacial eyes. She slowly sashayed three steps forward, her bearing elegant and graceful. However, her hips made every sway seem sensual.
Her eyes were glowing because of the golden lights swimming within. In contrast with the golden lights, the blue of her eyes was like a radiant blue moon reflected in a golden lake. Unfortunately, looking at this woman's eyes made Boss Murphy feel a stilling cold. He felt as if he were a mortal man in the center of a blizzard for ten days without end. He could feel his blood freezing slightly. Shock filled the muscle-headed goon's heart, but he was too scared to move.
In fact, his inability to move had little to do with fear. Yet, he was indeed scared.
Laying at the delicate and dainty feet of this celestial woman was the severed head of a blonde-haired and blue-eyed man. This decapitated head was frozen solid, with horror written all over his distorted face. Frankie was the strongest on their team, as he was a peak elite Gold Mage and the leader of this team. Yet, here was Frankie's frozen head, without his body.
Dread now filled Murphy's heart. He hadn't even felt any battle fluctuations.
Meanwhile, Jody's eyes narrowed as he noticed a strange, dull-looking child beside his mother. Where did this kid come from? Plus, didn't the kid look familiar...
'Sly...' Hearing Jody calling for him, Sylvester frowned before reminding Jody about the trickster.
"You filthy slime dare to try and murder my heart? Tell me…who sent you," Commanded Lady Isis in an icy and overbearing tone.
As she spoke, the purple mist slowly surrounded the room. Isis sounded brutal, like a murderer, her words full of ice-blades. This version of his mother currently enchanted Jody. So this was the true Mistress Frozen Night.
"Tch," Boss Murphy sucked his teeth and said nothing.
With things having come to this point, there was only one outcome. He would fight to the death! Thinking this, he bit his tongue and burned his sourceblood essence, regaining his body's mobility. He took a deep breath, attacking at full power without hesitation.
Boss Murphy raised his hand, and his black essence swelled, leaving his body and condensing into an ancient-looking claymore. Grabbing the sword and leaping into the air, seven swords of blacklight appeared behind Boss Murphy. He grunted and unleashed crimson force through his sword. He and all seven of the swords behind him shot forward at the same time.
He went all out with this attack!
"Heaven's Master. A pity that such a hard-working saint expert would choose such a suicidal path. You are no saint but a sinner. You are not righteous, and this seat must dispose of you," Isis hadn't even looked at Boss Murphy since the beginning.
She didn't put him or this attack in her eyes at all.
Isis was staring directly at the remaining follower, who had literally pissed herself under the pressure of that gaze.
"Allow me to ask you once more. Who has sent you?" repeated Mistress Frozen Night.
As the attack of Boss Murphy closed in on Lady Isis, she casually lifted her hand.
Waving her hand, it looked like a swift, pink, misty wind carrying purple-gold glitter straight towards Boss Murphy like a lightning bolt, yet barely moving. Jody was mesmerized by such an event.
What laws were these?
Boss Murphy and his attack completely stopped two meters away from their target, unable to move immediately. It was like someone had paused them using time powers.
"What's going on?!" Boss Murphy was horrified, but he couldn't move an inch. It was as if time itself had stopped for everything but his face, "This...I know this! This is the Kiss of the Frozen Mist! You're the Saintess of the Fall, Ni…hmf."
Slowly, the serenity ice emerged from within the pores of Boss Murphy's skin, covering him entirely in mere seconds. Lady Isis' released black essence from her body that condensed into a purple-gold crystal sword. Isis snorted and sent the three-foot-long crystal blade flying like lightning through Murphy's neck. Murphy's body exploded in a mess of frozen guts and ice shards, but his frozen head landed gently next to Frankie's, horror written all over their distorted faces.
The masked follower tried but failed to swallow spit, her mouth dry. She had a suicide pill under her tongue, but her mouth was dry. Removing her mask and revealing a cute and tender face that was pale as a sheet, she babbled, "Reporting to the Frozen Night Master, this one is a disciple of the Oblivion God Cult. W-w-we were commissioned to help senior operative W-White Demon. After admitting this, I will surely die, without a doubt. However, I do not wish to die like they did. I just want a quick death."
Lady Isis' face darkened when she heard 'Oblivion God Cult.'
With a sway of her hand, the sword in the air descended and split the girl in half. Her body, along with the sword, then shattered into pink and purple dust. Jody was genuinely speechless. His mother... was a Saint!?
Was this truly the power of a Saint?
He seemed to have vastly underestimated them. After all, saints could also use laws. Unfortunately, Jody had not previously witnessed his mother using her sagelight and combat soul, or his opinion of her would be even more profound. He could distinguish her path by identifying the sky forces with the mind's eye.
"Come here, Josiah." Lady Isis' voice was gentle yet stern.
Jody found himself a bit nervous. Could he be in trouble?
She only used his entire name when he was in trouble.
